When I arrived at the property there were quite a few issues with the property I was renting. However, in the midst of me being distraught 2 women that work for Darwin Homes took immediate action Keri and Emily Welch went out of their way to make sure I had a place to stay for the night. They made sure that I was calm and instantly got on the phone and started making calls to have the technicians dispatched and the repairs started. If it was not for these 2 women I would of crashed out and lost my cool but they took care of their tenant to the utmost ability.
We had a very unfortunate experience with Darwin homes property management. We experienced third party vandalism while living at the house and Darwin homes made us responsible for the repairs. No matter how much evidence we provided, police report, incident documentation, the current signed lease, Darwin home still held us accountable. In the end they even threatened us with eviction. We had to pay a lawyer out of pocket just to get this property management company to leave us alone. In an attempt to be compensated for the lawyer fees, Darwin denied to pay for our lawyer fees. In the end, I would never recommend this company to any renter and we are thankful to be moving out of the rental home. We would’ve really appreciated if Darwin homes would’ve supported us and listened to us about the vandalism. It also would’ve been nice if we were compensated for the lawyer fees, we had to pay a lawyer in order to not be evicted and wrongfully charged for the damages.
I hope any future rentals get transferred to this company. This has been the worse. Never paid my rent lat, had to deal with black mold from June-September was told I would be compensated moved out on the 23rd and still nothing. Lied and I had stains in the mstrbedroom and I have pictures/videos of everything. Nothing was damage and clean. The half did the bathroom wirh the black mold so it'll be back for the next tents or even that pipe that was fix will burst again.
Never ever in the 1 year talked to the so called property manager. That they'll call back mess ain't true.
We rented a single-family home through a different property manager who had a real human manager and faced no issues. However, the owner switched property management companies before our lease renewal, and that’s when the problems began. After accepting a lease renewal offer, we received another offer at a higher price less than 30 days before our lease expired, despite the original lease stating we should be notified 60 days prior. The communication was poor, with only AI responses assuring us they would negotiate with the property owner. Eventually, we managed to renew the lease at the original terms, but only after much back and forth. After 18 months of living there without needing maintenance, we finally filed a request due to mushrooms growing from the wood trim in the basement bathroom. It took over a month for them to decide on a solution, with conflicting advice from contractors. They opted for a cheaper fix and then tried to charge us, claiming we hadn’t reported the issue in time, despite the fact that it took them over 30 days to address it. The problem returned, and now we’re forced to involve an attorney since communication with the property management is only through AI email. I strongly advise against renting from this company. Property owners should also reconsider using their services.
My family and I recently moved into our new home, and while we encountered some issues that required immediate attention, the response was impressive. When we contacted the company about our concerns, a representative quickly began assisting us. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is evident, and their communication skills are exceptional. We are eager to continue our collaboration with the representative and the property management team.
If there was a possibility of giving zero stars, that’s what they would earn. I would never, under any circumstances, rent from this company again. They show no concern for their tenants and are only interested in their profits. I’ve been dealing with a malfunctioning refrigerator, including a broken ice maker and water dispenser, for three years, and now I’m being told they don’t handle those repairs. Additionally, the subfloor in my living room is deteriorating, causing the flooring to crack, yet they claim it’s not a priority to fix. I strongly advise against renting from this service. I hope they face serious consequences for their actions.
