I am extremely disappointed with the domain validation experience at @DigiCert. As a professional in the tech industry, I expected a streamlined, automated process, but instead encountered a series of hurdles that seem stuck in the past decade.

The main issues:

Inconsistent ID Requirements: I was told to bring a "government-issued photo ID" for the video call. I presented my Singapore EP—a primary legal ID—only to have it rejected by the agent without any logical explanation. The only reason given was "Compliance didn't approve it."

Waste of Professional Time: I spent nearly 30 minutes on a call that led nowhere, despite following the instructions provided in their pre-call email.

Poor UX/UI: The management portal is overly complex and non-intuitive. It’s a high-friction environment that makes tracking simple validation tasks much harder than it needs to be.

Manual & Fragmented Workflow: In an era where AI and automated verification are standard, DigiCert’s manual, fragmented approach is a significant bottleneck for fast-moving teams.

DigiCert claims to be a global leader, but their current validation UX and lack of transparency regarding local ID acceptance tell a different story. I hope they take this feedback seriously and modernize their workflow.
