Unacceptable Experience During G1 Test

My daughter attended this place for her G1 test and faced an incredibly humiliating experience. The examiner was a disgrace to the company—rude, hostile, and seemed to revel in exerting power over young drivers. His lack of personal hygiene was shocking; he smelled as if he hadn't showered in days, which is unacceptable when sitting so close in a car. It showed a significant lack of professionalism and self-respect. To make matters worse, he criticized her continually, laughed at her mistakes, and made degrading jokes towards a nervous teenager. It’s appalling to witness an adult bullying a child during a driving test. How this person is still employed is beyond me. This isn't a proper examiner; it's someone who clearly dislikes others and enjoys belittling them to feel superior. If you care about your child's confidence, dignity, and safety, I strongly recommend avoiding this place—it's truly disgraceful.

Unprofessional Examiner - Canadian Standards Downhill

I am writing to share my experience regarding an incident that occurred at the Guelph Drive Centre (location DriveTest on Woodlawn: Licensed by the Government of Ontario; not a government office. They are a service provider) involving Examiner #289 and the handling of my son’s recent driving test.Following the test, my son was called into the public waiting room where, instead of being treated with professionalism and respect, Examiner #289 raised her voice and reprimanded him in full view of the entire room. This public outburst was humiliating, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate for a testing environment where young drivers should feel respected, regardless of their results. While the details of why he did not pass are not the central concern of this complaint, the manner in which he was treated is. Typically, candidates who pass are invited inside, away from the public setting, and there should be no reason why anyone—pass or fail—should be subjected to public embarrassment in this way. You DO NOT treat humans like this. The matter was escalated to the supervising officer. Unfortunately, both myself and my son’s father left with the strong impression that the supervisor was unwilling to listen to our concerns. Instead, he appeared more concerned with defending Examiner #289’s account. When we specifically requested that he speak with her trainee independently, our request was dismissed. This reinforced our sense that our concerns as parents were not being heard or taken seriously. We are deeply disappointed in the lack of accountability, both from the examiner and the supervisor, and the overall dismissive treatment we experienced. This is not the level of professionalism or fairness that the Ministry of Transportation should stand for. This is the dying Canadian standards we all have to deal with these days, sadly. We have requested that this incident be formally investigated and that steps be taken to ensure that no other young driver is subjected to this kind of public humiliation. Furthermore, we have also asked that the Ministry provide us with a clear explanation of how this situation will be addressed, and what measures are in place to ensure professional standards are upheld at the Guelph Drive Centre.Unacceptable!!

Waste of time booking an appointment at the north york centre, ended up waiting over an hour despite booking an appointment; and worst part, not even apologetic in any way despite the ridiculous delay.Absolute rubbish!!!

passed my G test

passed my G test, yet the caucasian middle aged male examiner berated me, laughed at my driving, insulted my intelligence and left me feeling like I was spoken to so aggresively because I am a woman. You can not justify treating someone this way just to then pass them in the end. If my driving was so absurd to you to speak to me so poorly, how come you didn't have the guts to fail me? Seems like these examiners are on a power trip and think they have the right to insult you in your own car. Thanks for my license, I hope you get fired.

Ignorance

They are very rude and ignorant. I wanted to change my Alberta driver license. I would have wish never to move to Ontario. The customer service is so unprofessional they think they know it all and have control issues. They should take a customer service course to have respect for the general public
