I Don't Know how these other people Had a problem With Foster& Smith, I have Been ordering from them since the year 2000, and "Honestly" Never Had A Problem. I will continue to order from them. $19.00 Free Shipping, other Perks now & then. I hope they never go out of business I will be lost.
No stars!!! Should have checked reviews all over the web 1st! I emailed them BEFORE I placed an order. They lied in writing. No problem if billing and shipping address don't match. They lied. They only ship to billing address and that is the only address in their system. On the webpage for order history for my account for me to view shows correct ship to. They will not fix address so that I can receive the pkg and they blamed me: "You ordered online..." They need to be put out of business.
I have had by far the worst online shopping experience ever with this company. First of all, the website is so badly designed that it took me an hour to figure out how to input the shipping address in the correct format as it kept auto-correcting for me no matter how I tried (I am using a freight forwarder so the address must be precisely as it) and even though I took the time to register and logged in before I shop, every-time I placed an order, the system doesn’t register it under my account but instead orders are logged as guest checkout in their system and you can't even track your order until may be a day later as their system doesn't seem to get updated in real time. The log in system is a nightmare, I had time and again had problem logging in, despite I have been very careful to ensure that the right password is entered but the system kept saying that they found no match, but when I went on to reset the password, it tells me that I can't use the same password as the current one....Most importantly, my first order was cancelled without any notification. The only communication I had was an order confirmation email that says “they will email me when the order is shipped”. It wasn’t until 4 days later when I contacted them to ask when will the order be shipped, I was told that the order was cancelled for security reasons and they couldn’t call to tell me as I didn’t leave a number but when I checked the order confirmation email my number was clearly there and have they not heard of something called email???? After I approached them via live chat, their CS called back, basically saying that a foreign credit card and US billing address raised a red flag so they cancelled, the problem is their website doesn’t offer the option for customers to put down an overseas billing address, yet the CS guy I spoke to said they do regularly receive orders from overseas customers and dispatch to freight forwarders, so I have no idea how those people before me managed it, but that's beside for point, I used a prepaid card so billing address shouldn’t matter anyway as there is none! FYI, I have used the same card, same billing, shipping and email address, same everything to place orders on 7 different US websites that very same day (I was shopping around for the best offers for my sister's business) and none of the other merchant had any issue with me nor my order. I do understand that orders are sometimes suspended for security reasons, but any decent company would have contacted first to ask for more details and verify, instead of cancelling directly AND without even the decency to notify their customers that they did and btw, they only cancelled the order but not the pre-authorisation that is still withholding the fund from the first (& cancelled) order on my card. After I have spent 15 minutes explaining everything over the phone, I was questioned about the email address used, which is my sister’s work email btw, to how I didn’t provide a phone number, which isn’t true, I did and have an order confirmation email to prove it. Even after I have provided them with all the answers, instead of reinstating the order for me, they asked me to go back to the website to add everything back to the cart manually and checkout again using my overseas address as the billing address, which isn’t even possible due to the way the website is designed! Have the CS who told me to do so ever used the website himself?!I did re-order anyway, that's 3.5 hours of wasted time and 4 reps later, but only to find some of the items I originally ordered are no longer available and the promo code I used is no longer valid! I got my graduate degree from US, lived in Delaware and San Francisco and am a regular customer of Amazon, Petco, Chewy, DogTuff, Zappos, Nordstorm etc., this is honestly the worst US company I have ever dealt with, period. I would, however like to thank Tracia, whom was the only rep that made me felt she really was trying to help.Their price is no doubt attractive but really not worth the hassle that they put me through. DO NOT RECOMMEND
