Review Time
I’ve been using Emergent to build my first AI‑created app, and I’ll be honest—at first I was frustrated and confused about why my deployed app didn’t match the preview I was seeing. When I reached out to support, Jen and Prashika responded quickly, explained clearly how deployment works, and walked me through how to give better step‑by‑step instructions so the agent could build exactly what I wanted.
They took the time to educate me on how the platform really works, shared helpful resources, and even added extra credits as a one‑time gesture, which I truly appreciated. That’s when it clicked for me that Emergent isn’t a toy—it’s a powerful development tool that’s actually making the whole process way easier and more affordable than hiring a developer or trying to code everything myself.
I’m now much more confident using the product, and I plan to keep building on Emergent because of both the technology and the way their team treated me—with patience, respect, and real support. I highly recommend Emergent to anyone who’s willing to learn the process a bit and wants an advanced AI tool that can bring their app ideas to life. I will update this review based on my experience with Emergent but right now, this is where I'm at! 🫵👍
Writing
This is now my second review, as unfortunately nothing has materially changed since the first.
Over the past couple of months I have invested a significant amount of time and platform credits attempting to build and deploy two related systems using Emergent. While the platform initially appears extremely capable — and is very good at producing convincing interfaces and rapid prototypes — my experience has been that progressing from prototype to a stable, production-ready solution has been far more difficult than expected.
Repeated efforts to deploy changes to a live environment resulted in inconsistencies between preview and production, data not persisting correctly, and systems reverting after redeployment. Multiple rounds of troubleshooting were undertaken, but these cycles consumed additional credits without delivering a reliable outcome.
A separate technical review of one of the applications also revealed that several critical functional elements had not actually been implemented beyond interface-level placeholders, meaning the system could not yet perform its intended real-world role.
Support responses were courteous, but often inconclusive, with resolution taking far longer than anticipated and requiring repeated back-and-forth. Requests for temporary adjustments to help resolve the situation more efficiently were declined.
To be clear, the platform is impressive for early-stage concept building. However, my experience highlights a gap between generating a working-looking application and achieving a fully operational, production-ready system, particularly for more complex use cases.
I am sharing this so others can approach projects with a full understanding of the level of validation and oversight that may be required beyond the initial build phase.
I signed up after seeing their ads, used the app for about a week, and quickly realized it doesn't deliver on what it promises. I forgot to cancel, got charged, and reached out to support asking for a refund since I hadn't used the service at all.
They hid behind their "no refund policy" and refused. No goodwill gesture, no exception, nothing.
The product is underwhelming, the ads are misleading, and the moment they have your card details, don't expect any flexibility. There are much better alternatives out there. Save your money and avoid this one.
I contacted the team for a refund and within a few minutes they replied, and my request was successfully and kindly resolved. As a founder myself, I can confidently say that what truly makes a startup strong is its customer support.
Thank you.
Just a hype. It's not cursor or windsurf. Just to fool people credits get used fast.
The vulture VC just hyping up so they can get naive users to exit. Pl be very cautious of using it. This is just another builder AI in the making.
its only a tool to grab money, paid 20 euros for the subscription, got half an worsking website, and asked me 50 coins with is about 20 more euros just to be able to download it, dont waste your time or money on it
The agent starts nice and smoothly to get you in. Then the system, as reported by other users, starts giving problems. You fix something, and something else is not working. Then you fix something else, and a previous bug shows up. After you waste so many credits, and I have spent a lot of credit hoping on this project, the support tries to sell you "senior dev" help, paid by the hour in packages, instead of telling you, "Here is the support." They expect you to spend $500 to $1000, just like money grows on trees... With this amount of money, you can hire a professional and have your website done from top to bottom.
I started thinking this is all a big scamming system. The more I read the negative comments, the more I see myself there.
I believe someone in the back edited something, and the machine stopped doing its correct things. The thing needs to be investigated and probably reported to the authorities.
⚠️ SCAM ALERT: @Emergent_sh is a predatory credit-drain. They use "Dark Patterns" to hide toggles that bleed your credits while the system does nothing. I provided high-res assets, and they gave me low-res garbage. Spent days and thousands of credits for zero result. Don't get trapped in their "AI Casino." Go to Base 44 instead. #SaaS #Scam #AppDev #Fraud
Totally crappy! It's weblink and mobile app links provided not working dpesite their AI says it's working and fixed. Zero product delivery after wasting so much time waiting! Bad customer service too. Wrote 2 emails, and no more replies from customer service!!! Asked for a simple cheap $5 refund for zero product delivery and they can't!! JOKE! How can I trust them to hold my biz?!
Initially, everything seemed fine, but after I bought credits, the same mistakes kept occurring repeatedly. I want to publish the first website I created; it's in my chats, but I can't figure out how to retrieve it. This has become quite frustrating as the errors keep happening, and I'm unsure how to publish my brand. (doesn't fully work) (if the support team assists me, I can improve my rating)
