Hi, I just wanted to let you know I travelled successfully on a long haul flight from Heathrow to Calgary an 8 hour flight, a 1 1/2 hour flight on a twin prop from Smithers to Vancouver, a 1 hour flight Vancouver to Calgary and then finally Calgary back to London. I had no issues on any of the flights and have the fearless flyer course to thank for the most part in being able to make this trip. I had built up such a phobia that was ruling and ruining my life and it has been amazing to have taken back control. Thank you.
So i went to Bham airport today to take part in this course, amongst many others (which I originally psychologically thought were actors from videos). Instead these were real people like me, with real fears. I must be honest and say that after convincing from other passengers and the brilliant staff, I managed to enter the plane and take a seat. Unfortunately, my fears took over too much and I had to leave. This is not to slate the course, but instead an admission that I was simply rushing myself onto the course, and not spending enough time rewatching the videos and practicing the techniques enough. The course did help me though with the airport and I was fine up until walking to the plane and seeing the other planes roar as they took off. I know now that my fear is associated mainly with the speed, as every other aspect was explained, such as the door, flight training, maintenance, trust in the crew, if you feel out of control etc. I am proud that I made it through the airport process and at least sat down for a short while before leaving. I also felt terrible thinking that other fearless flyers might see my anxious reactions if I stayed and as a consequence, ruin their progress. Anyway, I can see how this course changes lives and I spoke to one passenger (James) who explained he flew before and he really was a saint and tried to help, but it just was not the right time for me today. My take away from today is this, if you are really serious about getting over your fear FOR YOU, then please try. If you are under pressure from work etc. spend more time researching before going.
I couldn't even talk about buying a plane ticket without having a panic attack before this course. The thought of being 'trapped' on a plane was debilitating. I bought the online course, spent 4 weeks doing the exercises and booked the Fearless Flyer flight in Birmingham. I live in Northern Ireland so I had to fly to BHX. Using their techniques I had a perfect flight over, a perfect fearless flight in BHX and a perfect flight home. No anxiety at any point of the day. I leave for Alicante next week! All I can say is thank you to the team. If you have any fear of flying, you must try this course. If you do the work, you will reap the rewards. Go for it!
This course and especially the flight is by far the best thing I have ever done. To overcome a lifetime's fear in such a short space of time is priceless. I cannot thank everyone involved enough. I met some lovely people at the airport and the EasyJet staff were amazing. Thank you goes especially to Mark for his calming words at the start and for Maria, the pilot on the plane who was amazing!
I cannot praise the fearless flying course enough. I had not taken a flight for 32 years. I refused to even contemplate taking a flight. When anybody mentioned flying in my presence I felt a panicking sensation and I felt very uncomfortable even thinking about flying. I thought I would never be cured of my fear of flying and I was resigned that I would be subjecting my wife and children to a life of either going on holiday in the UK or spending days on a coach to get to our selected destination. My wife and I turn 50 this year and she wants to go to New York and I could not imagine getting on a plane to go there. My wife signed me up for the fearless flyer course and I approached it with scepticism as I thought there was no chance that my fear of flying could be cured. As soon as I started to watch the modules presented by Lawrence and Richard I felt that my anxiety and scepticism started to reduce. They both came across as very sincere and caring people and I began to feel some confidence. The approach of combining psychological coping mechanisms and technical information regarding the plane is very clever. The zoom call reinforced my views that Lawrence, Mark and the pilot Jimmy were genuinely sincere and caring people. On the day of the flight experience I still had some nerves but they did not consume me. I was able to get on the plane which was in itself an achievement and Mark's relaxation technique really helped to keep me calm. The crew were amazing and again were really caring, taking time to speak to everybody individually and put them at ease. Maria did a fantastic job in providing the commentary during the flight and she put the finishing touch to an enjoyable flight where I felt relaxed and at no point did I feel a compulsion to want to get off the plane or grip onto the seat in fear. I cannot thank Mark, Lawrence and the crew enough for what they have done to help me conquer my fear of flying and this is genuinely life changing. For 32 years I could not even look at holidays that were advertised as involving flights, since we got back home from the flight on 15th June 2025 I haven't been able to stop looking at holidays where we will have to fly to get there and I now feel that I will have the confidence to fly to New York later this year. I fully appreciate that this will be an evolutionary process and this is why I feel very assured with the ongoing support that will be provided by the fearless flying course through the news letter. I cannot put into words what an impact the course has had on me and I am so grateful to my wife that she gave me a gentle push to try the course.
The easyJet Fearless Flyer course was incredibly effective and reassuring. It combined expert knowledge, psychological techniques, and a supportive environment to help overcome flight anxiety. The session was informative, practical, and empowering—leaving me feeling far more confident about flying. Highly recommend for nervous flyers. Mark, Richard and Lawrence are truly amazing in want they do.
If you have any doubts about the course take it from me you’re in good hands. I have never been more confident on a plane nor have I ever enjoyed a flight as much. It’s a credit to the course director and staff and also the easyJet cabin crew. Highly recommend. I can finally make up for the six years I lost before taking this course.
My fear of flying has cost me thousands of pounds of aborted holidays that I have paid for and not gone on, turning back home at the airport. Quiet literally. The people I met on the course at Gatwick were fantastic. So friendly and so helpful, nothing was left to chance.I met and spoke with the flight Captain, cabin crew, course directors and other fearless flyers, I was and am so pleased I attended and finally found the courage to board the aircraft. I'd like to thank you all for your help and inspiration your a great team with lots of knowledge and calming help and advice. I was very impressed and as I say very grateful.Thank you so much.
