I would just like to thank the all the team that put the easyJet fearless flyer course into place, I took my first flight to Belfast since taking the course and with the support from downloading the captain's commentary helped me immensely, i was able to tell my daughter when she looked worried after hearing a noise that it was all ok and explained to her why it was making that noise. I'm already looking at flights back to Belfast as we have family there!I cannot explain the feeling of joy that I had after the flight, i never thought i would do it and that the course will not help with MY fear as I'm terrified. Again thank you so much.
My name is Michael Hinchliffe and I live in Torquay.I am now aged 70 and have always been a complete nervous wreck when flying, right from the age of 18.Two years ago my wife asked me if I would like to go on holiday to Australia, which I immediately dismissed. Two weeks or so later my wife suggested I go on a Fear of Flying course with Easyjet. The course consisted of a week online tutorial (you must fully partake in this, otherwise the course will not be of any use whatsoever to you), followed by a 40 minute flight out of Bristol Airport in my case. As well as the flight deck crew a full compliment of cabin crew, Mark Wein Course Director and a current Easyjet pilot were in the cabin. Once everybody was seated, including my wife who came along for me, the pilot in the cabin explained everything that was taking place (noises etc), from the minute we started taxiing from the gate until we were back stationary at the gate.I gave the course a bit of thought and decided to go along tongue in cheek, thinking they'll never help me.I could not have been more wrong. Since attending the course in early 2024 we have been to Australia in January/February 2025, and are booked to go again in November 2027.Australia is the only place we have been that both my wife and I have said we would love to live there. Sadly, we are too old (over 45) with no other connections to the country to be able to obtain a visa.In conclusion, I am not going to recommend going to live in Australia, that has to be a personal decision for every individual person. However, if you have any issues with flying then this Easyjet course is definitely the one for you. If they can help me as they did then, trust me, they can help anybody.I have given the course a 5* rating with Trustpilot, the maximum possible. However, on a personal note, I would rate it 10* out of 10*.Take this course, you will not regret it.I have shown 3/1/2025 as the date for the course, nothing possible much earlier than that on the system, but actually took in either January or February 2024.
I found the course remarkable and I cannot thank the Fearless Flight team enough. All of my fears seemed to fall away as I approached the aircraft for the experience flight and I had to pinch myself when I realised that with the amazing help of the team from the online course and on the day, and after so many years of being riddled with anxiety and having to use medication and alcohol to fly ,I was actually capable of getting on the plane and enjoying the flight.I would thoroughly recommend this course to anybody suffering from a fear of flying and once again , thank you so much for all your help.
Whilst I have no doubt this course holds valuable content for many It is important to express my experience. I recently enrolled in a fear of flying course offered by EasyJet Fearless Flyer. While the course content may be valuable, my experience was unfortunately marred by a strict deferral policy and a lack of understanding regarding customer needs. I requested to reschedule the course to a later date due to personal reasons. This request was denied, despite the course still having availability. The company claims this adheres to their terms and conditions, but such inflexibility creates unnecessary friction with customers. To be clear I would have more than happily paid a deferral fee. I tried to explain my need for additional time, but Mark from FF repeatedly focused on irrelevant details and dismissed my concerns. I attempted to reach an amicable solution, but he was adamant that I was in the wrong and refused to concede any ground. The response to my initial negative review focused on the fact that I did not complete the course as originally planned and sought alternative solutions. While I did explore other therapy options, my decision to defer the course was genuine and separate from these efforts. Ultimately, I believe a more accommodating approach to deferral requests would foster a more positive customer experience. Had my request been considered, I would have likely completed the course and provided a positive review. I have no doubt the business will respond at length to this review as Mark has been very passionate in our exchanges but given the level of customer care I experienced and how I was made to feel I believe it was important to share my perspective on the matter.
Even though I do fly, my phobia is turbulence. I joined this course as I can't go on avoiding it. I completed the 16 modules which were very helpful. The techniques for calming down work. The flight day was organised, staff on hand and a running commentary while on flight. Mark and his team were on hand to myself and other passengers. Every bump, sound , change of lighting was fully explained. This is the first time I have been relaxed on takeoff. Please take the course it will change your flight experience and give you confidence to fly.
I did my flight experience back in October ish last year in Glasgow and yesterday I went a day trip to Belfast which meant 2 flights in one day, short flights non the less but from being absolutely terrified that I passed out at security and then panicked for the full flight fainting etc to getting on those planes yesterday with the help of the captains commentary tracks which by the way are exceptionally brilliant is nothing short of a miracle. I even flew back last night as a normal passenger with 0 fear that my friend said she would have had no idea i was scared I even managed to watch an episode of the Simspons instead of gripping on for dear life. I’m off today to book Jersey to go a little bit further. But honestly this course has changed my life and I cannot thank you all enough. I cant believe it!For context my fear was being out of control, claustrophobia and fear of being stuck and not being able to escape. I enquired about this course a few times and honestly believed it wouldn't be able to help me as my fear was not like everyone else's mine was different. The experience flight changed my mind completely it was fantastic and I wish id done it sooner. Honestly if you think this won't work for me it will its the best money I've ever spent. I purchased the captains commentary afterworks too and it was so worth it.
Knowing more about how flying actually works & the explanation of all the sounds during the flight made it possible for me to actually enjoy takeoff & landing rather than being curled in a ball with my head on my knees. It has given me confidence in flying
At the age of 57 with a fear of heights have never flown before due to the height ..my partner has travelled all over and wanted to experience a trip together but I couldn’t bear to be that high up . I then found easyJet fear of flying took a few days thinking about booking up with doubts .. I then decided to take the course with a flight worth every penny very supportive all the way The captain and mark and Lawrence were so helpful and supportive throughout the whole time it’s a life changing experience and opened a whole new world for me, so thank you so much I’ve never flown and I enjoyed every part of this course even the flight witch shocked me and to assure me I was safe and at ease so a big thank you and recommend taking this course. Already booked and going to Egypt next year and looking for one to have very soon .. so once again don’t think about it just do it I know it’s a big step but well worth it so once again a big thank you to all the people involved in making me a non fear flyer 😃✈️
