Unfortunately Fetch pet insurance does not honour the coverages offered on their own app. I applied for a spaying benefit under their Wellness add on and they invented I had not enough seniority. I had been their customer for more than a 1 year and a half. When applying for their wellness add on within their app it generated a new policy which was subject to wait for 15 days. I was already a cx and all I did was to add a new benefit. Their system had a glitch which they did not recognize. They look for excuses not to pay. I reached out to their cx service and they solved nothing. They just repeat scripts and look for excuses not to pay. They said the wellness add on has no waiting period and besides that they did not pay
Signed our cavalier up today for pet insurance. My call was answered promptly and all my questions were clarified. I was able to adjust the plan to our needs. The experience was excellent and I feel confident going forward with the purchase. Our pet is worth it this protection.
When I adoped my cat I was told at the shelter by sales rep Austin Keckler that if I got the policy that the pre-existing conditons would be covered. Kitty had a limp that needed X-ray. Claim denied as pre-existing. I only signed up based on what Mr. Keckler said. Bad enough I had to sit through a sales pitch in order to adopt but then to be bold faced lied to about the policy makes it worse.
In the wellness benefits FAQ section it says...
"Is there a waiting period for wellness coverage?" and the answer says....
"NO, THERE IS NO WAITING PERIOD FOR FETCH WELNESS. You can submit wellness claims on or after the effective date that’s given in your enrollment confirmation email. IN OTHER WORDS, YOU GET WELLNESS COVERAGE ON OR AFTER THE DAY OF ENROLLMENT"
2 out of those 3 sentences imply that the coverage will be available immediately or (at the very least) the day after.
In the email I received after signing up, the first sentence says "[your dog] NOW HAS THE MOST COMPLETE COVERAGE"
Everything up until this point made me feel I had coverage so I took my dog to the vet. 2 claims were denied as a result.
I go back and check the confirmation email and 7 lines down from them saying "[YOUR DOG] now has the most complete coverage", it says that the enrollment date is actually 2 days after the email date. When I called in they said "oh yeah coverage always starts 2 days after enrollment"
THAT SEEMS LIKE IT WOULD BE HELPFUL INFORMATION FOR PEOPLE SIGNING UP TO USE THE BENEFITS. It's known information within the company that it starts 2 days after signup and they do not share that with the customer. This is purposefully confusing language.
I had a good experience in registering my cat for Fetch insurance. The customer service was so accomodating and kind.
She explain everything. I haven't experience claiming yet but Im confident its going to be easy because of the app.
I have a peace of mind having this insurance.
Instead of increasing annually like every other company, they will hit you with an increase whenever they feel like it multiple times in a year. Have only had our policy for our puppy for a few months and they have already increased it by $10 per month. If I had know this there is no way I would’ve gone with them
We have been with this company for 13 years, every 3-4 years we have been hit with higher prices and have had to call and negotiate down. Now I’m getting hit with a 50% increase after already having the highest price policy compared to other companies. We have two younger dogs on another company because I refuse to allow these corporations to scam us for having long living dogs. The BOARD SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. This is how people struggling end up homeless or turning their dogs into already overcrowded shelters. Corporate greed will be the death of this country.
