I am so disappointed in this company. They where on my case for 12 month. It’s a very strong case. I had to constantly chase fletchers up about updates.I kept getting updates on how much I now owe them in fees. That did not bother me. They would say I have a reply from there insurers and they said this. I would say I have the proof they are wrong. They was not bothered to keep my case going after 11 month. .
They come up with the most lame excuse it was laughable. I try to challenge this excuse with hard cor facts but they was not interested. They don’t know what there doing. I am fuming because I have waisted 18 months for nothing. I could have got another solicitor to take my case if I had known.
I have another solicitor that took on my case and they could not understand why they dropped it because my case was strong.
The solicitor who was representing me was ,Victoria Calzon-Matilla, now if she is representing you I would change her.
In summery people if you want some one to represent you in the most vulnerable part of your life.
And you pick fletchers solicitors. You’re taking a gamble with these. If you gamble with these you will wait 18 month to be told there dropping your case. Listen to the bad reviews on these comments. The others must be cases that have been bigger in compensation and they knew they would get a big payout for themselves.

I called Patient Claim Line (owned and run by Fletchers Solicitors) about a serious medical negligence claim against my local Health Board for my wife's COPD care. The agent implied my enquiry would be sent to multiple law firms, I'd get a text confirming which one took it on, and they'd contact me within 3 working days to proceed.
The call lasted over an hour – she was friendly and empathetic, taking notes on the full timeline: 5 years of unmonitored home oxygen (guidelines ignored, no patient safety sheet), steroids despite known intolerance leading to hyponatremia from a dextrose drip, non-consensual indwelling catheter during confusion/delirium without next-of-kin input, unsafe discharge, and ongoing E. coli infections from the hospital causing persistent issues. She said she had enough to move forward.
Minutes after hanging up, I got a text saying Fletchers would represent us. I even turned down Irwin Mitchell when they called later (thinking they were too slow), expecting Fletchers to ring soon and we'd head to court.
That was January 15th. On February 3rd, after weeks of silence, I got a curt email with an attached letter rejecting the case on a no-win-no-fee basis – they'd only proceed if I paid upfront. No real explanation, just a generic disclaimer and virus warning. This after sharing sensitive details and getting my hopes up.
It's a total scam feel: pretend to shop your claim around (but it's all Fletchers), hype the speed, then dump you without discussion. If your case involves severe negligence like this, steer clear – they clearly don't back complex claims. Absolute joke; Patient Claim Line is just a front for Fletchers.
They may give the standard reply below but it is just hot air, the truth is nearer they will take the easy cases that involves very little work from them and then take a massive slice 25% of the payout when if one was able to fund the claim themselves they would most likely get much much much less, no win no fee is all about easy money and lots of it for very little wok/effort. They are now showing their incompetence just look at Fletchers or Patient Claim Line where I gave them the reference number so this is more smoke and mirrors, folk would be better off avoiding these altogether.
