Review Time
After reading all the bad reviews I was a little worried, so I contacted the owner of the company. As far as I can say I got a very friendly answer. He explained to me, that he is recovering from illness. I got my Shakuhachi a few days later and I am very pleased to play this instrument from now on.
Honestly one of the worst experiences I've had buying online. I already expected the flute to be shipped later than promised ("within 24 hours" - sure) due to the reviews here. But after nine days with no info at all even when I contacted them, I got a bit worried that maybe the item wasn't in stock at all (as it was sold out at the manufacturer's website). I finally threatened to contact my bank for a refund, and the flute was shipped on the same day. So I assume it was available the entire time and it would have been possible to ship it in time, they just didn't care to. There still was no reply, and of course no apology, I just received the shipping notification. No effort went into packaging, it was just the loose flute box in the parcel. They forgot to send the second item I ordered, and I was at this point too fed up to even contact them about it because I "only" lost 5€ - at least the flute arrived. All in all, I feel like the owners of this shop just don't care - about anything. They don't care about polite messages, they don't care about desparate ones, they don't care about bad reviews, they don't care to tell the truth on their website, they don't care to put any effort into shipping, let alone maybe making buying an instrument the nice experience it should be. They don't care about their costumers. Not at all what I would expect when buying from a small business in a niche market, who are usually a bit more passionate about what they sell... Next time, I'd rather buy from the UK and pay for the expensive shipping.

The seller should put more effort into communicating with customers. Also, if it says delivery within 24 hours, that should be respected, instead of the purchased item being sent for delivery only after 7 days. Overall, as far as the flute is concerned, there are no complaints at all — it's top-notch. Seller, if you're reading this, work on your communication with customers and you'll be an excellent seller with great ratings.
