I bought a freely TV with some trepidation after reading a lot of negative reviews. I watched a few reviews on YouTube and thought I’d give it a go on a small TV for an occasional room. I must say I am more than happy with freely. After setting up the TV and connecting it to the Internet freely worked perfectly in my opinion, with no glitching no buffering. I like the really easy to use TV Guide. I think it’s absolutely fantastic personally.

Bought a bush TV with Freely on a few days ago. The set up instructions with the TV were useless but it was simple to work out what I needed to do. Got it all up and operating and all seemed fine. On day 2 we started getting problems. Had to reconnect the internet and then got continuous error messages from freely, some of which didn't even have an explanation on the Freely website. Now every time we try to start the channels we have trouble getting on and error messages. We got this TV as we'd had trouble with our freesat dish and the TV said it didn't need any afield but it's been nothing but trouble.

The representative was incredibly helpful and friendly, guiding me through each step to restore my TV to full functionality. As a 70-year-old who's not very tech-savvy, I found his assistance to be outstanding. Truly top-notch service.

Room for Improvement

I've been using this service on two TVs. There are several areas that could be enhanced. At times, the picture cuts out for a few seconds on both screens. My internet connection is fast and stable, so that's not the issue. You can pause live TV, but there's no option to rewind or fast forward. For instance, if you pause for 10 minutes, you can't skip the commercials. Additionally, recording live TV on a USB device is only possible if you use the default TV guide with an aerial. Overall, it's not living up to the expectations right now. I hope future updates will address these concerns.

Extremely disappointing experience with this service.

This service has been a complete letdown. I intended to use it in the bedroom for watching TV without an aerial, but it hasn't delivered at all. I can't even access basic channels. Such a waste of money.

Disappointing Experience with the TV

Purchased a TV for the bedroom to enjoy regular programming without an aerial. Unfortunately, the app is extremely slow and laggy, making it almost impractical. Additionally, its design complicates usage. It seems I'll have to rely on my streaming device instead.

Unable to access terrestrial TV channels

I can't receive the terrestrial channels that work perfectly on other TVs in my home. I've connected an aerial and have internet access. The TV is a smart model with the app installed. I really wish I could just remove it. I would rate it 0 stars if I could. While some channels I don't watch, today I lost ITV 1. I followed all the reboot instructions, yet it still doesn't work!

Frustratingly slow app performance

I purchased a smart TV for the bedroom to enjoy regular TV without an aerial. Unfortunately, the app is incredibly slow and laggy, making it ineffective. The design is cumbersome as well. Looks like I'll have to stick with my streaming device.

Not recommended due to reliability issues

I have been using the Wi-Fi service since last Christmas and I cannot recommend it. It's too unreliable. We have a strong connection just a few feet from the TV, yet channels frequently display error codes and fail to connect. The guide is often slow and unresponsive. Recently, I tried to watch a show and received an error code instead. I've done factory resets multiple times, but I still encounter issues, including needing to create an online account just to access basic channels. What should be a good idea has turned out to be very disappointing.

What a disappointing experience this has been. I bought it for the bedroom to watch TV without an aerial, but I was mistaken. I'm unable to access terrestrial channels at all. It's a complete waste of money.
