Review Time
I signed up for Spruce Cleaning Services because they market themselves as a convenient, luxury service. My experience has been anything but. To add insult to injury, I’ve been a long time customer and have used them a dozen times. Unfortunately, I have had significant inconvenience and frustrations caused by them the past four visits.
After multiple service issues, repeated rescheduling, and having to rearrange my schedule each time, I’m left feeling like my time simply doesn’t matter. Communication has been inconsistent, and when problems arise, the responsibility somehow shifts back to the customer.
When you pay for a cleaning service, you’re paying for reliability and professionalism. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here.
My initial experience was satisfactory, but the second one fell short. I submitted a review to the company detailing that they had not cleaned behind my counters or the floors adequately. They quickly accused me of altering photos and claimed that one issue was due to "oxidation" and would not be addressed. It was absurd. I wasn't seeking anything for free—I took care of it myself. Still, they chose to place the blame on me. Overall, it's too pricey and not worth it!
The cleaner made an absolutely outrageous claim that my house "was too dirty to clean", then sent pictures of clean dishes drying, a head band fallen on the floor and claimed it was underwear, and took pictures of an area they were specifically told to avoid. First, that's clearly not underwear, it's a headband. Second, I'm not going to sweep my floors then pay someone to sweep my floors. Third, they were specifically instructed not to worry about cleaning the bath tub in the comments. Fourth, they took pictures of clean dishes drying on a drying mat and called it clutter. I am beyond furious that I've been treated this way and made to feel like I'm disgusting because the cleaner can't read and doesn't know the difference between a head band and freaking underwear. Beyond. Furious.
Cleaning is ok, I have a dog and see dog hair on the floor even when i get back. todays service they broke my smart scale and tried hiding it under the bathroom trash. some surfaces still very dirty. have been using for 3 years and every time i get more disappointed.
