DON’T do business with GMR Transport!!!Worst company ever!!!There’s a phone number but nobody EVER answers. They say best way to contact them is through email. But they barely respond to that. I was scheduled to receive my belongings, and there was excuse after excuse why it hasn’t been delivered. The best was-the truck broke down in Dallas. After that incident. It took them a month to finally get my stuff to the storage place I wanted them to deliver too. At this point I just wanted my stuff out of their hands. All I’ve had with them is problems from the start. I packed all my stuff myself very well. Lots of packing materials and I numbered every box and wrote everything down and marked all the boxes with what area it went into. I also Put stickers on everything that had breakable stuff in it. I wrote down every piece of furniture that was being shipped also. They did NO INVENTORY!! They have NO system in place. I sent them pictures of how much stuff they would have to move. I was quoted a reasonable price. Then the inventory person quoted a different price! Then when the movers actually showed up and everything was on the truck. The price again was different!! The first quote was $1500. Then the final price was approx $6000. I had more than what they had quoted me. WRONG….. I had less. As I sold items, I decided I wasn’t taking with me. Through this whole process I took pictures. Which I still have. Stuff was broke, boxes missing (6), wardrobe box, all the screws for the bed missing. Every (piece) of furniture was scratched. So much breakable was broken. Even with the stickers saying “handle with Care, fragile” Glass written on the boxes also. When the third party company that GMR TRANSPORT hired to drive from Texas to Va finally got here. They put aside all the boxes that were damaged and that you could hear that stuff was broke in the box. I can’t believe how negligent this company was. I also had to pay for storage while I waiting to find a place to live. The charge for that was suppose to be 150 a month. When the bill came it was 300 a month cause they said it was a 25 ft storage unit. When I finally received my belongings. I rented a 20 foot storage unit. And it still had plenty of room as you can see from the pictures attached. Also the third party that delivered my stuff. Called me and asked me to please write a review of this company as they themselves were having trouble collecting their money from them. Also they said that everyone that they delivered to that day had the same experience as I. DON’T. I REPEAT DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH GMR TRANSPORT. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER.
Chose these guys to move down to Virginia for college. It was only a studio apartment but the problem was I lived on a 4th floor walk up and couldn’t do it myself. They were able to get everything out of my apartment with ease. All in all it took them about 2 1/2 hours to have everything loaded up on their truck. They had the same speed and efficiency when they dropped me off to. Super impressed by the cost as well. Definitely recommend these guys!
I used these guys to help move my items from a storage unit across town to my new house we just built. They were incredible. Showed up on time. Put everything exactly where I needed it and even helped put together the bed frames and dressers. Thanks guys.
These guys were amazing. They came in packed up my entire house in one day. My wife and I moved from Albany to Boca raton and chose GMR for the move. They were fast friendly and kept us in the loop the whole time. When my friends move down here I will let them know who GMR is.
These guys are a real life saver. I had to move an entire storage unit last week and didn’t know who to call. After finding them online I gave them a call and explained the situation. They were here the next morning and had everything packed up and out of there in only 2 hours. I just got my furniture and no damage either. 5/5 if I ever need to move again this will be my first call
I used GMR to move my furniture from a 2 bedroom apartment down to Florida recently. After looking for companies online they gave me a call and a quote that was a really great price so I went with them. I am very pleased with the service they provided. Everything arrived in 9 days and there wasn’t a single scratch on any of my dressers or any other furniture. Give them a call if you want to have reliable friendly movers to help you
We were very impressed about the efficiency and professionalism on the moving team at both the Miami home and the Huston home. Our furniture was carefully wrapped and loaded. The boxes and other items were higher than expected but the team was able to accommodate the needs and get all items to us. They arrived at the appointment time range with the call when they were near. Also a delivery time that we could be at the house was scheduled and they arrived right on time.
I Gave them 1 star because the 0 star is not available. they took my things letting me know it will take around 5 days from the time they took it to deliver in the new addres, That was begining of the year, I am still without my things because TURNED OUT THEY BURNT THEM ALL ON THE ROAD. And I received a settlement offer for everything I ever owned in my entire adult life, would you guess the amount I was offered?.... trust me you cannot because it's not even 2000 dollars. this is not human to do that to someone, let's not even talk about the manipulation and lies I got told by them this entire time. "we gonna take everything you own and give you nothing back from it, not even half of it,s**** not even 0.5% of it".DO WITH THIS INFORMATION WHAT YOU WANT.
They were several days late in picking up and delivering my things. I kept getting the run around from them, and they have yet to come and reassemble my bed and entertainment center which was broken during the move. I did not have a good experience with these movers at all.
