Review Time
Just received first box and it’s missing 3 separate items. Not sure what could have happened there cause the box was filled to the top and the inventory sheet shows all 3 missing items on there.
I signed up for a GoodChop subscription for my kids and was charged as expected. Then, the very next day, I was hit with an additional charge for an “upgrade” that I had already completed the day before.
When I called customer service, the representative admitted, “Yes, that sometimes happens,” which is completely unacceptable. This was not a processing error — it was a classic bait-and-switch. What was presented as a $219 purchase suddenly became $240, apparently hoping the extra charge would go unnoticed.
The issue was escalated to a supervisor, who could not provide any explanation at all. That lack of accountability says everything.
In the end, their attempt to sneak through a ~$20 increase cost them $1,600 in future subscriptions. Thankfully, Omaha has never pulled anything like this, and I’ll be sticking with them moving forward.
I tried to sign on as Im having problems with another meat co. I was unable to get to the menu or sign into start a acct. So I called and while on hold read the reviews and decided against it ,due to the negative reviews.
Ive learned not to trust all the poositive reviews as companies are using AI to fill all the positives and five star
Good Chop is using deceptive advertising practices. I tried them once, a full year ago. Recently, I received a postcard encouraging me to “try them again,” which included a QR code. Scanning it simply to view the offer reactivated my account without my consent. They then charged the credit card they still had on file and shipped an order I never placed, approved, or agreed to in any way.
Exercise caution regarding potential misleading pricing. I placed an order for 6 filets, believing the total to be 89.99, but discovered an additional charge of 129.00, which brought the cost to 34.00 each. This is unacceptable. Consequently, I decided to cancel my subscription.
I received a mailer with a code promising 30 dollars off the first box and free ribeye for life. Upon reading the fine print, it mentioned that both offers must be redeemed by 02/01/2026. However, when I attempted to redeem it, only the 30 dollars off was available. I contacted customer service, and they apologized for the confusion, stating that only the 30 dollars off was valid. I even provided a picture of the mailer, but they offered me chicken wings instead, which is not even comparable, and I don't eat chicken wings. It is unacceptable to be told I was mistaken and have the offer disregarded.
The last order we had with Good Chop we never recieved. I called and sales person said they would credit our next delivery, but couldn't make that happen for a full month. (not willing to send us our monthly delivery replacement). We received our delivery a full month later and decided to cook up the Ribeye steaks that were both in the same package. One of the steaks was actually unable to cut through let alone chew. Believe me, I tried several areas and just couldn't eat. The other one, was just a bit better as it at least cut, but still chew, chew, chew. So bad I mentioned to my wife to be careful not to choke on this. We couldn't even eat the one steak. I was so upset I took pictures and a video of us trying to cut through this meat. I've ordered from them a few other times, and my review of the meats were just ok for some of them; (thought it was the cuts of meat), and others were good. But, I've come to realize that if this awful meat is let out the door for us, then they don't know quality. And when they miss the entire order and then send an order over a month later, this is not the company you want to deal with!!! Oh, also, the order before this one, I had to call for a credit as they FORGOT to send two cuts of meat that were on my order.
I just received my GC order at 10:39 am. Once again half my order is missing! I am missing 4 of the rib eye steaks, and 3 of the 6-60z chicken breast. How do you plan for a family of 4 when half your order isn't there?! This has happened every order the last 4-5 orders that I have placed. Always missing items out of the order that I placed. WHY does this keep happening? I call every order with a complaint of missing product. Why can't you get it right?
