Review Time
Unfortunately, we had a negative experience. We were promised a large van for our party which was changed the day we arrived. We were, instead, given 2 cars and charged extra. We were offered a flexible return time, but when the return day arrived we selected late afternoon and they then called to say to return immediately because someone else rented our car. We were then charged $50 for a “dirty car” which meant, what we considered, very minimal sand in the backseat. For context, we rented 6 cars in St Martin over a 4 month time period and never charged extra and returned them all in the same condition. I would not rent from Gumbsie again. We loved Anguilla! But I would avoid this car rental company.
We have been renting cars from Gumbsie for almost 20 years. Gumbsie is always responsive and is sure to have a car or cars ready for us as soon as we land on Anguilla. He meets us at the ferry with a warm smile and sends us on our way to start our vacation. If we ever have an issue with a vehicle, which is rare, Gumbsie takes care of it right away for us! We recommend Gumbsie to all of our friends, family and guests. You will be very pleased with Gumbsie’s service and his smiles!

Had a really good experience...our flight was delayed by 4 hours and because of how late it was in the night, they delivered the car to our resort. It wasn't the car that I reserved, but it was very similar and had no issues. Drop off was a breeze as well.
