I've purchased and sold on GunBroker several times and almost all transactions went well. However, this last time I purchased an item using the Buy It Now option. The seller listed that "Buyer Pays Actual Shipping Cost". NO mention of any handling fees. The invoice arrived with an addition $25 "Handling Fee". GunBroker offered no solution other than to cancel the order. That isn't fair and I canceled the order out of principal.
I got a good price and decent delivery time after placing my order. There were a lot of vendors offering the firearm I wanted to purchase so I was able to have a choice and I wasn’t at the mercy of a very limited number of dealers in my area.
Great experience with GunBroker.com. The transaction was smooth and easy from start to finish. I was kept informed throughout the entire process, which made everything straightforward and stress-free. Excellent communication and a seamless buying experience. Highly recommend!
Buying is easy and simple. Selling not so much. For sellers EVERY email and seller wep page devoted to selling an item should have ITEM, USERID, USER EMAIL, user ADDRESS and SOLD PRICE. Flipping back and forth between emails and gunbroker web pages to determine what gets shipped there and to whom is WAY too complicated.
support doesn't exist for this company.
I attempted to creat an account on 1/20. my account was instantly locked and I was told to contact support.
I've submitted multiple tickets to support with no replies.
there are no phone numbers to talk to anyone and the chat on the site is a useless AI chat bot.
The platform is easy to use, making it simple to browse and search for specific items. I often find prices lower than those of local sellers, which is a great advantage in today's economy. Shipping is quick and reliable, and items are securely packaged to avoid damage. I've experienced excellent communication with sellers whenever I've had questions. Highly recommended!
Following the auction was straightforward, and I was able to locate the weapon and examine it closely. However, the weapon arrived with a chip in the grip that wasn't clearly shown in the images, and it was only wrapped in a single layer inside a shipping bag. This approach doesn't seem ideal for a collector's item.
The billing and customer service processes feel outdated, with responses taking several days. The overall experience seems to lack a service-oriented approach, and the billing breakdown is confusing and poorly organized. It resembles a 1980s system, lacking a phone number for direct communication with a live representative, leading to a frustrating cycle of repeated inquiries with minimal resolution.
