Review Time
I made a reservation for a day trip that our neighbors had already booked and wanted us to go on with them. I didn't realize there were two different dates for this trip. I booked the April trip, paid for it and never received any response from The Happening Club to my e mail that it was booked. I talked to our neighbor and they said they had booked the trip in March...they we're not going to be in town in April. I called The Happening Club and asked for them to check and see if they showed that I booked the trip. They checked and said they showed it booked for April. They said they do not respond when a trip is booked until a week before the travel date. I explained to them that I was supposed bto go with our neighbors and had booked the wrong month...that our neighbors are going on the March trip. I asked if I could change to the March trip if there was still space available. The man I spoke to said he would check if that could be done and text me. The text came today and said they do not make changes. The original trip would need to be cancelled and I could apply for a refund only if I bought cancellation insurance. And unfortunately I did not. I don't understand why a change cannot be made when the trips are still so far out and space is available on the correct one. I have taken many day trips using other companies and they have never had a problem with changes. I understand the policy on no refunds if you cancel, but do not understand the reasoning for no changes.

We haven’t left yet for our trip that we booked 9 months ago. We are scheduled to leave in about 2 weeks. We have received no information regarding trip details from the time HappeningOut is supposed to pick us up from the airport in Venice until the time a week later that they are supposed to get us to the cruise ship out of Rome. Three months ago when I spoke with them and made the final payment, I was told we would get the details in early February. It’s now March 10th and we still have no information. I called twice today to check on the status of the trip. HappeningOUT is now filtering calls through a call center in India. The first person I spoke with said he would call back in a few minutes. Over an hour later I called to check on what is going on. The different person I spoke to from the call center said he will find out what is going on and call me back. I do not have confidence in this company. The cruise was booked by them just fine. But it appears they have done nothing else but take my money. I’m disappointed and regardless of how the trip turns out, I simply cannot recommend HappeningOUT due to their poor customer service and communication.
Clearwater sand sculpture trip 11/22/2025. The Workman bus was unbearable. Sat near back and the smell was permeating for the two hours we sat on a full bus. Toilet door didn’t close, loud speaker not working, window shades broken or non existent, nonexistent air conditioning while sun beats in, seats broken and arm rest also broken on more than one seat, and went a half hour out of our way due to driver miscommunication. Trade winds is not a luxury facility. Not a nice restaurant in sight with air conditioning and a sit down menus. Ended up at one of two options. Both light on air conditioning. No bathroom at the taco restaurant. Had to walk a block away to wash my hands. Worry about those handlers of food! The tacos were awful. This was a first time…a try out trip. Does not bode well for future trips.
