Danish review:
Cozy place but not a lot of space. Got a BMO, the dream cake and a coffee.
You HAVE to put butter on both sides of the bun, since it’s eaten 1 by 1 and not like a sandwich :D would like more cheese!!
The dream cake was delicious- spot on. And nothing to complain about with the coffee 👍🏼

The place has a really calm, Scandinavian vibe to it the kind that makes you slow down a little. The selection isn’t huge, but the products they stock feel thoughtfully chosen, like everything has a purpose for being there. I picked up a couple of Danish bits I haven’t seen anywhere else in London, and they turned out great.
Avoid. I ordered a gift from two different vendors, one being HJEM Kensington. The other vendor supplied and delivered the goods promptly, swiftly and beautifully to the recipient. Excellent experience. Completely the opposite from HJEM Kensington. Delivery was expected to be 1-3 days. The recipient was in London. Goods weren't delivered by the shop to the courier until 2 days after the order. The courier (Evri / Hermes) took 5 days to deliver the goods to the recipient. The gift turned up at the office in a damaged, open box with no paperwork. HJEM Kensington was not responsive to messages sent via different platforms and email. The response we got via instagram was a short "we cannot do much with our packages once we send them off with the courier". No ownership and no concern for the customer. No "sorry it took us so long to give the package to the courier" or "sorry for not responding" or "sorry you are having problems but we'll look into it and help find a solution". The company also wasn't reachable by phone. A ticket had to be opened with the courier because they were also difficult to reach and their updates were poor. Lots of time wasted and the whole surprise gift was spoiled. Deeply disappointing. Save yourself the headache and order elsewhere.
Although the coffee is nice the blonde barista is so rude (the other staff are friendly and polite) and has a major attitude. Unfortunately it’s making the experience super unpleasant! Several friends have said the same! Please train all your staff to be polite to customers since that is the least they can do when paying over £4 for a coffee. She could also do with learning some basic manners.
A beautifully located coffee shop in a quiet part of South Kensington. Although, when we arrived there were no seats left to sit at (lunch time). The coffee is fantastic, I really enjoyed it. Staff were really nice and owner is very friendly when I sent her an email separately complimenting the shop and staff that she has working there. Hopefully next time I visit I can have the pleasure of sitting inside the shop and have the experience of enjoying Danish Coffee.
Had to contact a week after my order was placed as nothing received. That email prompted them to order, no apologies until I quiered it. Even then the offer of a free coffee when in London was offered! Instead of refund of postage, which is more use and considering the cost, given the item was so late and would never have received anything without my email. Then when the item finally arrived, the product is utterly disappointing.
