Tanzila from Belfast Branch was very patient, friendly and welcoming, she was very helpful in resolving a payment dispute I had with a retailer I wish there were more people like Tanzila working for HSBC.
After 20 plus years with hsbc my card was canceled by bank even with 2 factor authentication .Another transaction had been performed previously that day .I agreed to make minimum payment when I received new card .The card never came and refusal to send another one and account blocked.Big brother mentality!
I spent over a month trying to secure a loan (for less than I have in my account), but I received repeated emails for the same information. I eventually gave up… Each interaction was filled with frustration. The only reason I engaged with them is due to their international transaction capabilities. This is the worst financial institution I’ve ever dealt with.

Avoid this bank at all costs. Opening an account here will lead to endless frustration. It's impossible to contact them when locked out of the mobile banking app, as they require details from the app to assist you. Now I have to visit the bank in person, wasting my time with these incompetent representatives. Customers deserve better support than what this bank provides.
I am extremely frustrated with this bank. They provide misleading information, stating you can use up to £25 without incurring charges, but that’s not true if your account is empty. I filed complaints but have seen no action. I’m left without food for days due to their lies. It's unacceptable, and I plan to leave this bank for good.
I wish I could rate them lower, as they don't deserve even a single star. After switching from another provider, I faced nothing but issues. Setting up the mobile app was complicated, and even when it worked, it was nearly useless. Simple tasks like changing a direct debit were impossible. I will be closing my account soon and recommend avoiding this bank entirely.
