We had cabaret tickets, which placed us near the front, yet we still found it hard to hear certain moments due to the noise in the room. I can only imagine how it must have been at the back! It was a fun experience with an entertaining entrance, but be ready for some poor jokes and a lack of storyline. Embrace the silliness for what it is, and it can be a delightful night filled with Christmas classics to set the festive mood! Just don't expect top-notch entertainment or a complex plot. The experience also lacks immersion with minimal interaction from the actors. A smaller venue with better sound equipment would enhance the experience, but the performers did a fantastic job.
Incredibly disappointing and felt like a complete rip-off. The venue was in terrible condition and poorly organized! We spent 50 minutes waiting outside in the rain. I'm really upset that we chose this place to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. My 70-year-old husband had to crawl through a small tunnel, which caused him severe back pain. Another guest at our table mentioned feeling claustrophobic with no air circulation in the room.
We left early. Avoid this place to preserve your holiday spirit!
In light of a recent family loss, I chose to take my entire family out for a night of enjoyment during a difficult time. I find it hard to understand the negative reviews as they starkly contrast with our experience. The food was outstanding; we enjoyed the truffle chips, burgers, and the pigs in blankets, all of which were incredibly delicious! You have to try them!! The show was both hilarious and touching, evoking genuine emotions; you'll definitely feel it! 😂😉🎤🎅🏼 The staff were attentive, helpful, and radiated the festive spirit. I wholeheartedly recommend this uplifting experience—bring your friends, gather your family, and celebrate the joy of the season! ❄️⛄❤️❤️❤️❤️🎁
We were really looking forward to our experience and had paid for the better seating positioned at the front of the stage. Unfortunately we were so disillusioned with the performances and general atmosphere, we left after an hour.
The drinks are served in cheap plastic cups and are overpriced and expensive, the food is an array of beige offerings and it felt as if we were at a school play.
All we could hear when the "actors" were on stage was the buzz of everyone talking and shouting amongst themselves in the crowd. The songs were weird and there was absolutely no xmassy vibe. I feel like we have been scammed - do not waste your time or money on this show!!!!
An utterly disappointing experience that was almost comical. It’s designed to resemble a dive bar but truly is a dive in every sense. The cleanliness was appalling, and the food was shockingly bad. The supposed 'immersive' experience started off promising but quickly faded; nothing happened once we were inside. The cocktails were pre-mixed and revolting. If you expect quality liquor, ensure they actually use the proper bottles instead of pulling out unmarked ones from under the bar. The crepe/pancake station was strangely not part of the packages, and the beer was essentially water served in flimsy plastic cups. The restrooms were disgustingly dirty, with several out of order and poorly lit. We attended for a corporate event, and I’ve never encountered food worse than what you’d expect from a 90s school lunch, especially considering the exorbitant cost. Everything about this place was a letdown; the service and overall quality were simply atrocious.
A truly dreadful experience, it was so bad it became amusing. The place is styled like a dive bar but is genuinely a dive. It was filthy, and the food was unbelievably terrible. The so-called 'immersive' experience began well but then completely vanished; nothing happened once we were inside. The cocktails were pre-mixed and absolutely revolting. If you want quality liquor, make sure they actually get it from the bottles and not from unmarked containers under the bar. The crepe/pancake station was oddly not included in the packages, and worst of all, the beer was watered down and served in cheap plastic cups. The restrooms were disgustingly dirty, some were out of order, and the lighting was poor. We were there for a corporate event, and I have never had food worse than what you would expect from a 90s school lunch, especially for something that cost more than a wedding to organize. Everything about this place was disappointing; the service and quality of everything were absolutely dreadful.
Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. We booked for our company Christmas party for 45 people and paid extra for the balcony area, only to be told almost two months later that it had been double booked. We were 'upgraded' to the VIP inner circle, but upon arrival, we found 10 strangers in our section. Once again, we were double booked. We were promised Christmas crackers and a confetti welcome, but neither materialized. Expect to queue for at least 30 minutes to enter, then be rushed through the 'immersive theatre' experience to your table. The security staff were extremely aggressive and rude. They wouldn’t let people into the restrooms and even pushed an older gentleman off a chair while he was trying to take a group picture. The show itself was mediocre at best. The wait staff, aside from one dismissive young man, were accommodating and the only redeeming part of the night. The cocktails tasted cheap but were not cheap in price! Overall, my advice is to skip this.
We were deeply dissatisfied with our visit to the Christmas event. We paid for VIP tickets, but nothing about the experience felt premium or justified the extra cost. We specifically chose VIP seating to avoid audience participation, but the area was very underwhelming. After walking upstairs, we were met with uncomfortable furniture and basic tables and chairs. The promised 'balcony view of the stage' was only available if you were lucky to sit at the front; otherwise, the view was poor. There was a separate bar, which seemed convenient at first, but with only one staff member, the wait times became excessive as the area got busier. The 'free' cocktail included in our package was terrible; it tasted like fizzy ice with no hint of alcohol. The food items we tried were subpar and overpriced. The entertainment was confusing, with a band that seemed to impersonate Elvis but failed to engage the audience. The event duration was misrepresented, and we left feeling disappointed. The entrance decor was the only highlight, and we later discovered VIP guests had access to additional activities that we were not informed about. Overall, this experience was not worth the cost.
A Review of the Christmas event: Save your £50 and go to the pub. If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to waste £50 in a dimly lit space while someone half-heartedly performs, look no further. Just book a ticket to this event and you’ll get the experience. For your £50, you receive a seat and one glass of wine, which feels like an attempt to dull the pain of what follows. Unfortunately, even that might not be enough. The 'entertainment' was so shockingly bad that we left at the interval—not out of rudeness, but out of mercy for ourselves. The production was embarrassingly amateur and utterly joyless. I’ve seen school plays with better coherence. If you’re considering tickets, my sincere advice is to skip it. Keep your money, head to the nearest pub, and toast to the time you didn’t waste here.
Total waste of money! We paid for VIP only to be seated far from the main stage. We expected a fully immersive experience, but all we got was a band performing Christmas songs. We waited over an hour for our drinks and had to follow up four times before they finally arrived. Do not waste your money. For £70, we could have enjoyed a bottomless brunch that included food and drinks! Instead, for £70, we received one drink and no food.
