I appreciate the concept, but over time the quality and portion sizes have declined significantly and no longer justify the full price. It feels like the only way to get value is to aggressively promote the boxes to friends, which I dislike.
We have been using the service for about 9 months now. Our experience has been positive from the start. Whenever we faced issues, the support team was always cooperative and helpful in resolving complaints. We highly recommend their service and the food! We also tried some of their organic options and really enjoyed them.
• Occasionally, ingredients are missing, such as a clove of garlic or even a whole avocado. • Sometimes, a different ingredient is included, like bacon instead of the expected item; this can be frustrating if you were looking forward to the original. • The stock bags are made of paper that absorbs moisture, causing the contents to stick together, though I have seen improved bags recently. I hope the older ones are phased out.
I tried the service as I struggle with meal planning for one, and it’s quite easy and convenient. There are many recipes available, and selecting meals for the week was simple. However, the subscription model and fees are not transparent; it took time to understand all the charges, despite being tech-savvy. There are numerous additional fees for options like different delivery times and specialty ingredients. While you can avoid them by making different choices, it’s inconvenient to always watch for hidden costs. Pausing the subscription is easy, but they bombard you with marketing emails and notifications pushing you not to pause. Ultimately, the food is tasty, the delivery is smooth, and the recipes are simple, but I'm not fond of their business tactics. I might use it during busy weeks, but it’s not worth the cost regularly.
