Review Time
I've emailed several times and used their live online chat and still have NOT heard from anyone. I would like to return a product, however, I'm not sending anything back without confirmation from the company that I will be reimbursed. Terrible service.
Next level experience with the Hume Band and Hume Pod. As someone who trains seriously, I can say the insight into recovery, sleep, and body composition is on another level and has helped me fine tune how I approach training and recovery. The Hume Pod makes progress crystal clear beyond just weight, and the band keeps me locked in day to day. Everything feels precision built and purpose driven, and it has raised the standard for how I track and manage my health.
Bought the pod scale. Actually not bad, one of the few scales that will do a fresh impedance scan each time (most others don't). I then got an email offering $50 credit to answer their survey. I did the survey, gave generally positive feedback, then got an email about the $50 credit. BUT, to actually get the $50 I had to do - ironically - a Trustpilot review for them!
Nowhere did it say anything about doing a review for getting the $50. They ADDED that afterwards. And THIS is why you see so many 5-star reviews here. I, however, refused the extortion and sent a demand email, saying the $50 was fraudulent. They ignored me.
So, I researched Hume a bit, having a background in legal research. These people are complete scam artists. One YouTuber proved that their "doctors" and "experts" featured on their site were STOCK IMAGES. Their Hume Band is a cheap Chinese band sold on Alibaba for $20 (they charge $250).
Even their emails - which they DELUGE you with - are a scam: when you go to unsubscribe, the "unsubscribe" button is greyed out, as if it's inactive. This almost fooled me, which obviously was their intent. It's actually active, they are hoping you don't have the time to figure out why the button is "inactive" and give up.
All of this, to me, shows that they plan to scam as many people as they can, then shut down.
In addition to all this, they are violating Trustpilot's terms by adding that "must leave a review to actually get $50" ploy:

I have the pod and tried the band. The band had connectivity issues and would freeze. I returned the band to hume and they won't refund my money. They verified they received the band and have started a refund but after 3 weeks they still have not issued a refund. The website states it will be refunded within 7-10 business days.
5 star if they would give the AI analysis based on the data as part of the app rather than a premium feature. Smart scale but you meed to pay for smart AI analysis doesn’t make sense. However we love what the scale offers. HUME should really think about their decision on the AI analytics.
It’s great having all the information readily available. Being able to see the little day by victory’s is very motivating. And the struggles show you what you need to work on. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in being healthy and taking care of yourself.
The band works well and is comfortable to wear. The free app is okay but the upgrade offers much more information. The app needs to be easier to navigate and get explanations of the results. Overall a good product.
Overall 5 stars, some caveats with the band, such as battery endurance and questionable HRV accuracy (in a comparison with Garmin sensors and Ultrahuman smarting).
As for the Body pod, its impressive how much data you get provided with.
If the data is correct (which is hard to verify, since there are no real competitors in this category), then its excellent, professional grade biodata that can really enhance your own health and fitness awareness drastically. And excellent value at that. No subscription needed, but available for more in depth reports, if wanted.
I've only had the band and pod for a couple weeks now but I really like it. It keeps me on track. I'd like to find someone who would explain all the different readings on it. But so far, I love it
I have to say that I’ve been using the Hume Health Band and Pod since January and I love it. I love having an idea of my health numbers and knowing which direction my health could be headed in. This is a great product thus far and I would recommend this product to anyone looking to get a better understanding of their health.
