Go somewhere else. They may seem convincing on their website. But do not be fooled. The program I took was over 10 years old, which in this day and age, renders their coursework obsolete. When attempting to receive a refund AND give them feedback, they tried to tell me that I was the one who was confused. Bogus. Don't bother. Do some research and find a better option. I wish I could put this review more places where someone falling for their advertising could see this because the world needs to know the truth and avoid them at all costs.They didn't even say they would update the course or thank me for my feedback. Ridiculous. Instead, they defend their programs, which is obviously a huge red flag. Absurd.
This review is for the support tech they have for IAP. I needed some help with something, and they got on it with a partial refund, when they technically didn't have to give me anything. The lady who helped me is Alexa, and she explained everything about the course and answered all of my questions and was very accomodating. I apprecite their support system for the students.
Your order #955804 ( February 4, 2024 ) I enrolled for the End of Life Doula course then decided I was not interested. I requested a total refund of 251.99. IAP promised a full refund but only credited my credit card 30.00. After waiting for several days for IAP to reconcile the charges, I called the credit card company to file a dispute. Meanwhile, IAP blamed the credit card company for the error. This college is a scam. I inquired in depth about the programs I was interested in and the person I spoke with assured me that the Personal Training program would certify me to work as a trainer. Once I got about 3 chapters into the text book I realised that it was not a certification program at all. I have requested a refund multiple times and keep getting put off to someone else. I have been told that I will be contacted via email but have received no communication. I am out $500 for something that is completely useless and misrepresented.
Having a family of six and working 60+ hours a week, made this exeperience more than exceptional due to the ease of being able to work at my own pace. This gave me the motivation to work diligently and to successfully complete the course.I highly recommend IAP.
I wouldn’t recommend. I contacted them about the Feng Shui Consultant course prior to purchasing and was assured I would be able to practice professionally upon completion. The course was a very dated textbook that provided little to no explanation on any specific form of Feng Shui, instead just a brief overview which you can find anywhere on the internet. The final exam required zero knowledge of the lesson material, but just to remember previous answers. Found out the 100% satisfaction guarantee is only for before 30 days and not if you took the final. A complete waste of money and I would only recommend if you had no knowledge at all of the topic, and used the course as an overview or introduction to the topic. It is concerning that there could be practitioners out there after taking this course alone. Please change the course to “An overview of Feng Shui” instead. Save your money and find a more reputable and thorough course to complete your certification through.
My book and study guide were very explanatory and good examples were given to further buttress the points made from A to Z. These made remote studying very simple as everything was self explanatory.This is my first Online class ever and I am quite impressed that nine weeks ago I started my Matchmaking course and now I have a matchmaking certificate without stepping a foot in the classroom. Bravo IAP Career College.
