I’m very grateful I discovered IFCAB!

I’m very grateful I discovered this course when I did. I had been thinking of attempting the IFQ for some time but hadn’t thought to approach one of the two verified training companies actually mentioned on CISI website. So I’m very glad the opportunity to take the course landed in my inbox! The course was intense due to the comprehensive nature of Islamic finance but brother Najib made it very easy to follow. The slides provided during the sessions gave an easy to digest summary of the topics within the IFQ workbook and brother Najib welcomed questions and contributions throughout the sessions. Having access to the recordings was especially helpful for me as I took the course while caring for my 4-6 month old baby so I often needed to fill in gaps from the course at a later time. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to begin learning about Islamic finance and or take the exam. It helped to also know that the other people on the course were not just from all over the world but with refreshingly varying backgrounds.

I had truly a wonderful experience

I had a truly wonderful experience participating in the Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ) programme offered by IFCAB UK. From the very first session, it was clear that this is a carefully designed programme that genuinely cares about equipping participants with the right knowledge and skills to thrive in the Islamic finance industry. The quality of teaching was simply superb. Najib, the facilitator, was not only highly competent but also brought an incredible depth of real-world industry experience and exposure to every session. This made the learning experience far more enriching. Complex concepts were broken down in a clear and engaging manner, and the facilitator's passion for the subject was evident throughout. It truly made a difference to have someone who has lived the industry guiding the learning journey. Whether you are a fresh graduate, a working professional looking to transition into the sector, or simply someone who wants to understand Islamic finance better, this programme offers an excellent starting point. IFCAB UK has put together something genuinely valuable, and I am grateful to have been a beneficiary of this opportunity. I would wholeheartedly recommend the IFQ programme to anyone who is looking to commence a professional journey in Islamic finance. I am truly delighted to share my strong endorsement after completing the IFQ program with the Islami

I am truly delighted to share my strong endorsement after completing the IFQ program with the Islamic Finance and Capacity and Advisory Bureau (IFCAB). The eight-week course was exceptionally enriching and intellectually rigorous, providing comprehensive mastery of Islamic financial principles, including Shariah-compliant contracts, ethical investment frameworks, risk-sharing mechanisms, the prohibition of riba (interest), Islamic investment instruments, asset management, and Shariah governance systems within organizations. The programme powerfully highlighted the objectives (Maqasid al-Shariah) of Islamic finance and critically examined its role and impact within the global financial system. The curriculum was excellently structured, academically robust, and directly connected to real-world Islamic banking and financial practices.

The instructor, Ustaz Naji Al Aswad may Allah abundantly reward and bless by best things. His integrity, dedication, and profound expertise set a remarkable standard of excellence. He demonstrated outstanding professionalism and unwavering commitment throughout the program. Despite the large cohort, he cultivated an inclusive, dynamic, and highly engaging learning environment where every participant felt valued and motivated to contribute.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly and strongly recommend the IFQ program offered by IFCAB to professionals, students, and anyone seeking a solid, practical, and ethically grounded foundation in Islamic finance. I strongly encourage others to enroll in this program, as it delivers exceptional academic depth, practical relevance, and transformative learning within a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment.

Coming from a traditional background, the bridge between classical scholarship and the realities of the modern financial world was articulated beautifully by Najib. He is an exceptional teacher and orator who made each session interactive and engaging, often inviting senior industry practitioners to provide real-world insights.

I would highly recommend this programme to anyone seeking to make a meaningful contribution in the fight against Ribā and leave behind a lasting legacy, irrespective of whether one comes from a traditional scholarly route or otherwise.

Completing the IFQ training with IFCAB…

Completing the IFQ training with IFCAB was a truly enriching experience. What differentiates this program is not only its structured, exam-focused preparation but the strategic lens through which Islamic finance is taught, connecting classical Shariah principles with governance standards, regulatory realities, and real institutional practice in a coherent and practical way.The sessions were highly interactive and grounded in practical, real-world examples drawn from extensive industry experience across multiple jurisdictions. Guest speakers added meaningful depth, offering firsthand insight into how Islamic finance operates within live markets and policy environments.Mr. Najib Al Aswad brings a rare combination of Shariah scholarship, regulatory insight, and global advisory experience into the classroom. His ability to contextualize complex concepts within today’s financial landscape strengthened both my technical understanding and my confidence in applying Islamic finance principles professionally.I would highly recommend this program to anyone seeking serious, well-grounded, and practically relevant IFQ preparation.
