Unfortunately what appeared to be a good…

Unfortunately what seemed to be a good masters programme from the outside, turned out to be a very weak attempt at a masters. They have good sales people selling the programme who make it sound amazing. Sadly, it's not. Unfortunately i'm half way through the programme so I feel like I need to finish it as it' paid for but I badly regret being sold on this. There is no teaching on the programme, it is entirely DIY. Here are some articles to read, chat to your co-students about them and then write an assignment. No choice in the assignments/cannot tailor to interests. Assignments are pretty uninspiring. I don't think anyone enjoyed them. The instructions were not clear and, despite lots of people asking for clarity, none was forthcoming. Tutors change every few weeks so not possible to build any relationship with them. Haven't been great either. I'm sure they're qualified people but they have no opportunity to teach, inspire, share their knowledge or experience. They might as well be an admin person facilitating the sessions because there is no scope for them to really add anything at all. 1 hour per week contact time, 85% of which is spent talking to other students, means that it's impossible to learn from the tutors. No lectures. No videos to watch in own time. No library access. No materials that can be downloaded to keep. Portal is a very cursory overview of the subject. Very, very light reading list. No suggestions for deep dives into areas of interest. Warwick validates the programme but don't be fooled - you will have no connection to the University. No ability to use their library. No ability to use their resources. No ability to join their societies or clubs. No contact with their Faculty to learn from their research. It's connected in name only. You're going to be learning from the iheed team only. There are definitely going to be far, far better programmes out there for the same cost or cheaper. Most of the cohort were very underwhelmed/ irate. Keep looking..
