My make up goes on smoothly and lasts. It was easy to get the colour matched. The filter is a must for me also . The good thing for me is that if I have a question I know the customer services will get back to back to and I’ve found them to be as good as there products .
i ordered a foundation and was showing add on page was selecting and instantly my money got deducted
no confirmation was asked and there is no facility of cancelling the order
when asking for cancellation they aren’t responding well.
I cancelled my subscriptions over a yr ago and forgot to take my bank details off the site and today they stole my birthday money and I now have to cancel the pantomime. They messaged me back n say the item has been sent out already but I emailed them before they where open today and they took the money early hrs of today so it's not been sent out just trying to stop giving me my money back today. DONT KEEP UR BANK DETAILS ON THE SITE THEY WILL STEAL FROM U AND REFUSE TO GIVE U MONEY BACK
Accidentally signed up but cancelled straight away. They took £64 from my bank account (temp hold). I contacted them straight away. They said the product is sent straight away if I didn't like i could return for a refund. The item never arrived. After 3 weeks contacted my bank and eventually the amount was returned. My bank blocked payments but I see today another £64 is on temp hold again. So called subscription cancelled. Want my money back please. Very confusing site. Don't put in any details. Stay away!
Edit: customer service has been in touch. They've said they will cancel the auto renewal. Which i already thought had been and remove the hold on the £64 funds in my account. Will wait and see and change if so!
I am beyond frustrated with my experience with Il Makiage, and I genuinely feel misled by their so-called “trial” offer.
They heavily advertise a risk-free trial for their foundation — implying you can try the product and return it within 14 days if it’s not right for you. Sounds fair, right? Wrong.
Here’s what actually happened:
They pre-authorised my card for the full amount, and that money immediately left my available balance. So let’s be clear — this is not some harmless hold that doesn’t affect you. The funds were unavailable in my account the entire time I was within the “trial” window.
I processed my return well within the 14-day period, exactly as instructed. The return was accepted. But the moment the return was processed, the pre-authorisation charge completely vanished from my account history — and the money never came back.
No refund. No returned funds. Just gone.
And trying to deal with customer service has been an absolute nightmare. Slow responses, generic copy-and-paste replies, no real accountability, and no clear explanation of where my money is. It feels intentionally confusing.
If you’re advertising a “risk-free trial,” customers should not:
• Lose access to their money for weeks
• Have charges mysteriously disappear without refunds
• Struggle to get clear answers from support
This whole process feels deceptive. A trial should mean you aren’t financially penalised for trying a product. Instead, this feels like a trap hidden behind clever marketing.
I will not be purchasing from them again, and I strongly urge others to read the fine print and monitor their bank accounts carefully if they decide to try it.

I had an amazing experience purchasing IL MAKIAGE foundation online. The shade match was spot on, the formula is flawless, and the free eyeliner gift was a pleasant surprise—absolutely loved it! Highly recommend.
When I first purchased my foundation, smoothing base cream and the translucent powder, I didn't like any of it. The powder is sooo fine, it's literally feather like. However it SMELLS DEVINE, but it just went everywhere and the little container is not the best, so I hated the way it went everywhere! BUT... there is a but, IT'S actually THE BEST POWDER I have tried in my life, and I am old enough to say I tried hundreds of these before. So definitely buy it, the container is annoying but VERY LITTLE goes a long way! I never sweat on my face anymore, no shine whatsoever all day!!!!! It sets the amazing foundation so beautifully, I mean it smoothes out my wrinkles and the cover is superb and looks so natural. I haven't tried anything else so far, but today I purchased their concealer and ordered another foundation as well. They gave me the foundation brush as a gift with the 1st order. However, I like using my fingers. The brush is so beautiful, if you prefer applying it this way. I am a customer forever now 👌♥️😉
Excellent product quality. Couldn't be easier to order and the discount offers are fab. I colour matched my foundation using the online questionnaire and it matched my skin tone perfectly. I would recommend this brand.

I wish I'd came on and had a look at reviews, currently in hospital having treatment and seen the ad and thought oh that'll make me feel a bit better about myself at present, charge was for £4.95 - What's to lose? then suddenly £66? Plus received an email for £123 charge, I straight away moved all my money into my second account and phoned my bank.
This is a scam, a scam. There's no other words for them.
Even if their products are good, the clear lack of basic decency has absolutely shocked me to my core and made me never want to try them.
I emailed them within a minute of placing the order.
I'm reporting them to FCA & trading standards but what a disgusting outfit. They are total predators with predatory tactics of luring people.
I've demanded my money back, which yes il MAKIAGE is a 'temporary hold' but yous can absolutely get lost if you think for a second I'll give you another penny of my hard earned money.
Thank you for making someone who is going through radiotherapy feel so much worse. You are a genuinely disgusting vile company and I will take this further even if it's a waste of my precious strength and time.
