Review Time
After using this cable for approximately 27 months it got really hot and has a scorch mark on the outside of the cable and I have stopped using it. It was my third cable from juicEbitz over the past 6 years. The previous 2 failed due to fraying at the end of the cable where the lightning connector is for an Apple iPhone. This is the later updated cable and has not frayed, but has broken down inside the installation where it is impossible to see other than a scorch mark on the outside of the usb cable. It is type A to lightning type of cable 1/2 metre long. As for the update review, I am simply trying to be more factually accurate, seen as you said I am out with my dates and timeframe. I am not complaining about the cost! I have never asked for you to replace it or give me a refund.i have never used one of their cables for 6 years in a row.i do use an apple MagSafe charger most of the time, so this cable has had very little use,more like monthly as opposed to daily.I notified the company as a concerned user from a safety perspective. I first contacted them on the 27th October 2025, an email directly to their customer service team. These are commodity items and should be checked at regular intervals.The issue you have developed here is from continually puling on the cable wire to remove and not gripping from the connector, this is the only reason why this has happened.Don't do that, and remove them properly and as printed on all our packaging - the same as hundreds of other brands also stipulate on theirs, and this will not happen to you.If a cable develops a fault, gets damaged or has outlived is lifespan, then it should not be used to the point of total failure as this alone is a risk and should be disposed of recycled if possible as soon as you notice it; whereby regular inspection will pick up on this.
