Koinly takes the anxiety out of tax season, particularly when managing numerous crypto transactions. I have explored a few other options for crypto tax preparation, but Koinly proved to be the most user-friendly and effective for my needs. It has truly been a lifesaver. I successfully organized wallets from different exchanges into a cohesive set over the span of five years. Honestly, I can't imagine navigating this process without it. Although I'm not an active trader, even a modest number of buys and sells can accumulate quickly, making it challenging to determine my tax obligations. I highly recommend this service to anyone in a similar situation.
The system operates effectively and updates seamlessly. My only worry is that some transactions do not show the accurate purchase price and default to a zero-based amount. The program is clearly functioning well, but it raises the question of why this issue occurs.
A solid DIY solution for tracking crypto transactions and taxes. It offers good support for major chains and decentralized finance activities. While not flawless, it's the best option I've encountered in this area. There are some challenges and nuances to grasp in order to ensure all details are accurate, but this is common with any crypto tax tool. However, they are regularly introducing new features to keep up with changing regulations, and the support team is quite responsive when assistance is required.
This software is a bit of a life saver. I've been able to organise wallets from binance, okcoin, coinbase, revolut, uphold and exodus into a single hmrc compliant set, spanning 5 years. I don't think i would have been able to face it otherwise.It did seem to struggle with importing Binance data, both the API and file imports, although maybe that was a binance issue, or maybe it was me I'm not sure - hence 4 stars and not 5.Either way, once everything was in, it was very easy to consolidate all the partial fills and other nightmares that crypto transactions present.They are obviously working to improve the software as well, so I definitely recommend.
Absolutely worth it !I've been using Koinly for multiple years and finally upgraded to a paid plan this year. After importing data from multiple accounts, I managed to clean years of crypto history, including some complex staking rewards, swaps and missing cost basis issues.The support team (special thanks to Aria and Jack and Will!) went above and beyond, quick, human, and helpful. The tax reports matched TAX requirements perfectly, and the carry-forward losses were handled flawlessly.After a lot of cleanup, my taxes are 100% reconciled, exactly what I needed. Great product, great people.
