I would give zero stars if possible. The website falsely showcased a 5-star Trustpilot rating. After receiving these extremely low-quality clothes, I found several inconsistent stories about the company's origins. I'm usually much smarter than this. Buyer beware. The material and sizing are horrendous; they also falsely advertised the items, claiming 'embroidered' dresses that were just polyester with minimal designs; 'midi' dresses that were actually maxi length. Absolutely terrible! Now I have to deal with the inconvenience of returning these awful items and seek my bank's help for a refund. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS.
I join other complainants who say they would choose no stars or negative stars if it were possible! I continue to send messages to the fake contact at the fake company. One thing I am adding here: my package of junk arrive from Vernon CA 90058 (5215 S Boyle Ave). No one else on this site has mentioned an address on the mailing bag. I wrote to the scammers that I would send the items back to Vernon CA, and repeated that I will expect 100% refund. So far, the only offer to me has been the 10% refund and keep the worthless things. Others have mentioned being offered 30-50%, I believe. Since the fraudulent adds appear on Facebook, I do suggest that you - or your friends or kids who use it - look for the ad on the platform and report it. If enough people do that, it may help.Also, I continue to see ads (on Google, and, as I recall, on Facebook) for the other scam company Harper and Lane. Many of the same colorful dresses appear there! Maybe the same crooks run both. If you know anyone else who has been scammed by this company please encourage them to take a minute to file a review on Trustpilot.
I wish I could give it -5. They’re horrible. The clothes are from china. Cheaply made. They lied to me when I realized they weren’t from NY. When theirs shipped from china i immediately tried to cancel my order by they wouldn’t do it and said their warehouse is in china. I tried to get a refund but they keep going back and forth with me saying they will do it and they haven’t. Don’t waste your time and/or money with this company. They suck.
Update: After several failed attempts to get a full refund directly from the vendor (they kept offering me a partial refund instead - 10-30%), I contacted my bank and filed a dispute, and it was resolved. I explained that the items were not at all as they were described on the website. I took screenshots of the item descriptions and pages just in case. I hope this helps others!Original: My shipment just came in the mail and I had the same reaction as everyone else. I feel like an idiot. One star because site won't allow me to give NONE! This site is absolute GARBAGE, it is a total scam. I was stupid and did not check reviews before ordering. But I did. Once my item arrived, I literally laughed out loud at how horrible it was. Here is the website description "These dramatic black wide-leg pants are elevated by intricate floral embroidery that sweeps down the leg like ivy in moonlight. They balance romantic charm with confident structure—made for the woman who embraces contrast." OMG!!!! They were these gross shiny polyester stretchy pants with silver printed design that was completely off center. Right away I knew I had been scammed. So, I reached out and emailed telling them how disappointed I was and they offered a 10% refund and I could "Keep the pants" OR if I wanted to PAY to ship them back to F'ing China at a cost that was almost as much as I paid for said dreadful pants, they would fully refund me. Anyway, after many, many emails telling them I was going to dispute the charges with my credit card company, they FINALLY agreed to refund my money. They sell this fake crap and hope people can't be bothered to complain or do anything about it. So note of advice and warning, DO NOT buy from this website. But if you do and you get garbage like I did. Be persistent and keep complaining until the agree to refund you. The kept countering their offer, started at 10% then 20% then 50%. I just kept saying no until I got a final full refund. Now, this was all this weekend and I've yet to SEE said refund so we shall see. I'll update in a few days.
I'd give it less if I could. Quality of products were awful, fabrics not natural and flimsy. Totally misleading with a name that makes you think it's in NY and saying it's closing its doors. Honestly they should because it's such poor quality. Also doesn't have a clear return policy saying you have to send back to China at your own cost and also have to pay PER ITEM to restock $10. They haggled with me over multiple emails to refund first 10%, then 20%, then 30%, etc. and told me to keep them and take the partial refund. It was joke. Really awful experience and I recommend you steer clear of this scam. The website must have fake reviews since they quote this website with 4-5 star reviews and obviously it's not true if you come here. They also don't put their full return policy stating that you can return your order within 30 days of receipt for a full refund (without mentioning you have to pay the fees and return cost to China).
I wrote a previous review agreeing with all the reasons noted in the negative reviews on this site. I haggled with the company which wanted to give me first a 10% refund, then 20% then 50%. I threatened and then opened a credit card dispute, let them know what i was doing, and at that point they offered a full refund. No shipping the awful dress back to China. Now awaiting the refund.
Garbage. Consumer fraud. Don’t fall for it.They sent me a dress that bears zero resemblance to the one in the photos online. Such a bummer. And now they’re offering me a 10% refund and telling me I can “keep the dress”. Which I can’t bear to even look at, it’s so ugly.
