If I could rate less than one star, trust me I would. Absolutely shocking, should some of these employees even be employed? Worst service, rude, lack of understanding. This company is money grabbing, absolutely no care given about the sport or that it promotes public health. More interested in grabbing money. Threatened the team being kicked out the league unless money is payed for a game individuals didn’t even play for!!!! Shocking, disgusting, I have no words.
Leisure Leagues haven't responded to any of my emails regarding their head referee James displaying threatening behaviour towards one of the players. The initial email sent: "Dear Leisure Leagues Management,I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a concerning incident that occurred during a recent match in which I participated. My experience with Leisure Leagues has generally been positive, but unfortunately, a recent encounter has left me quite disappointed.During the match, Referee/Site Manager James displayed unprofessional behaviour by directing offensive language towards one of our players, using derogatory terms such as "f*ckface" and "d*ckhead". This was while he walked up to persons face and put his head against theirs, at which they questioned "are you threatening me?". I believe such behaviour goes against the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship that Leisure Leagues aims to uphold. I request that appropriate action be taken to address this issue and prevent the recurrence of such offensive conduct by referees in the future.Furthermore, I would like to express my concern regarding the officiating in our league. The poor quality of officiating has become a recurrent issue, with blatant decisions being made that significantly impact the fairness of the matches. The referees, including Referee James, appear smug and disinterested in addressing the concerns raised by players, creating an atmosphere of frustration and discontent among participants., which is easily displayed in the evidence of teams consistently coming and going.I understand that refereeing is a challenging task, but the consistent lack of professionalism and apparent disregard for the impact on the players is disheartening. I urge Leisure Leagues to take necessary steps to improve the officiating standards, ensuring a more enjoyable and fair experience for all participants.I trust that you will thoroughly investigate these matters and take appropriate action to maintain the integrity of Leisure Leagues. Your attention to these concerns is greatly appreciated.Thank you for your prompt and thorough consideration of this complaint.Sincerely,Anon."I then followed this up almost three weeks later, assuming the claim they make on their website how any complaints guarantee a response within two weeks, was ignored, which it was. The follow up email: "I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to follow up on the complaint I submitted regarding an incident during a recent match at the Stevenage site. As of yet, I have not received any response or acknowledgment of my concerns, which is deeply disappointing. You pride yourself on responding within 14 days and that "majority of people who complain are satisfied after an initial discussion". Find proof here: *image of leisure leagues guarantee response claim* "'You will always receive a reply within 14 days. This will not be a standard reply. Each reply to a written complaint is individual and tailored to the complaint you are making. We will always try to be fair. It is our intention to treat you as customers with respect and courtesy. You are important to us. Remember, we want to hear what you have to say, so please do contact us for any reason.'In my initial email, I detailed the unprofessional behaviour displayed by Referee/Site Manager James, including the use of offensive language and inappropriate physical conduct towards one of our players. Despite bringing this matter to your attention and emphasising the urgency of addressing it, I have not heard back from anyone at Leisure Leagues. It is concerning to see that despite James being made aware of the issue, no action has been taken to address it or prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. This lack of response only compounds the frustration and disappointment felt by myself and others who witnessed the incident.Additionally, I reiterated my concerns regarding the overall officiating standards in our league, highlighting the recurring issues with poor decision-making and a dismissive attitude towards player concerns. These issues not only detract from the enjoyment of the game but also undermine the integrity of the league. As a loyal participant in Leisure Leagues, I believe it is imperative that these matters are addressed promptly and effectively to uphold the values of fair play and sportsmanship that your organisation strives to promote."There was a bit more, but I ran out of characters. This has been completely ignored, but they are fully aware of the situation at Stevenage, because James was making jokes regarding this. Their claim to respond is an utter lie.I will continue to escalate and report this as necessary.
Turned up a few weeks ago and the ref was having a chat in the corner and delayed our match for it, we only got 20 mins out of the 30 playing time. To get less than the promised playing time is a regular experience at leisure leagues. Due to this shocking service we have pulled out, but now they are saying our team owe in excess of £110, also saw one of the refs trying to chat up my mrs who was sitting on the sideline watching, avoid at all costs
BE AWERE!!!!!!! hastle you to start and PAY to join don't stick to there own terms and conditions. when you don't stick to them they send you threatening emails and text messages about debt recovery.Cocky replys to messages asking genuine questions. all there interest in is you paying money for nothing. Its not like they share the money out to other teams just pocket it and give you the legal stuff as a scare factor so you pay up there bonuses. it's a bad run money making scam and there all scum be aware!!!!!BRUNTS (MANSFIELD) MONDAYS
If I could give 0 stars I 100% would. Had to leave the league due to not being able to get a squad no more. LL charge you for a friendly when they should really sort a proper match out. Told them I want to quit the Birchwood League-(Monday) and they threatened me with a debt collector if I don’t pay the friendly + two match payments. They somehow went from two matches fees to threatening me with £315 bill, they said they’ve seen reports where if you don’t pay the debt the collectors take it away. To me it looks like they make fake rumours up and use bullying and intimidating tactics to try force payment. I questioned why it was £315 and they soon went back on their word and replied it will be only 3 game payments, we just use that for example if you never pay. Robert the boss of Lincoln I presume did say I would have only have to pay for the 2 games and friendly I missed. He also did try sort the issue out unlike his colleague William who was so utterly unprofessional when trying to sort the matter out. He was constantly butting in while Robert was trying to speak. Even his boss had to tell him to be quiet in the end.
We are a team of 17 year olds in one of the leagues. Every week the referees are useless and the videos of a few games show how bad their calls are it’s almost like they have their eyes closed for half the game. You pay 37 pounds per week and have to give 2 weeks regardless of the season ending or not and their customer support is useless. I have previously had to open assault cases because the referees wouldn’t do their jobs. Last week in particular (the final straw) one of us was sent flying into the air three times without the referee even warning the other teams player before he kicked them so hard they actually did a flip in the air and got a concussion The area managers are rude and entitled and they expect you to pay even when they themselves call games off don’t bother signing up you may aswell just hire a pitch without a referee
So I pulled my team out and within 10 minutes I received a email from debt recovery threatening to take legal action against me if I did not pay the £33 . Which was for the one game that wasn't played . The company are money grabbing gits . They make you play points games just so they can charge you extra £33 for a needless game.
I was told by the staff from this company that if my team confirm the game in the coming week, payment must be made before the match to be confirmed. Given the short notice provided, I expressed uncertainty about my team's ability to join the game. But later I received an email from this company saying that I have an outstanding debt of £36.00 which is unbelievable. I do not believe that the debt of £36.00 due on 27.10.2023 is legitimate. I have sent email to this company to their info leisureleagues.net email However there is no any reply so far. It’s really frustrating and disappointing that they can simply charge you no matter you have confirmed to attend to their game or not.
£34 a week for a 30minute game and here what it gets you:•Terrible quality balls, 2 weeks we showed up and they didn’t even have one for us to use.•Showing up the majority of weeks without having a team to play.•Referees, who half arsed it on their phones most the match• We won our division twice and received no trophy, medal, or any acknowledgment at all that we had actually done so.
30minute games for a start. We decided to join a league and test it out. It was as bad as we thought it would be.The people running the leagues don't care about the players or teams, just getting as much money as they can with as cheap and awful a service as possible. DONT do what we did and test it out.
