Review Time
I have shopped directly with Lindt for a few years now and never had a problem until my latest order. It was missing 3 boxes and a tin - not an insignificant amount. I checked that the delivery box didn’t say 1 of 2 but it didn’t so I raised it with customer service. To be fair, they came back quite quickly saying they’d investigate. Again, quite quickly, they came back saying they’d raised it with the warehouse team who reviewed the records. “Their tracking system confirms that all items were scanned and packaged as part of your parcel before dispatch. Based on these findings, we are unfortunately unable to offer a refund or replacement on this occasion.” !!! I’m not accustomed to being called a liar and said I would pursue this further. This culminated in another reply saying they’d refund part of my spend. I was pretty upset at the initial response I have to say but it strikes me that if so much had been missing from my parcel - something is afoot somewhere within the warehouse. I also don’t appreciate being accused (indirectly) of lying. The customer service - albeit quick - was pretty appalling.Sadly, this has really shaken my faith in the company and I won’t buy their goods directly from them any more. The product is excellent but I’ll be getting it from the supermarket from now on.
I placed an order for a £95 pick and mix box, but then received someone else's order. When I contacted customer services about this, my order was cancelled. While I'm relieved to receive a refund, this was extremely frustrating as my order was placed as a gift, and I was left with no time to rectify it.
Update. Lindt replied to this review to say that they have been in touch to resolve it. The only contact I have had is to tell me that they can't help with my issue. So no they haven't resolved it. The chocolates are good but the gift card that came with the product had errors on it. I can't give that with the chocolates as it looks rubbish. Spent over £40 and they can't even print the gift card correctly. I emailed them to let them know, it took them 3 weeks to reply to say they said they couldn't do anything about it.
