Payment Plan not a Loan, Misleading advertising.

Last Friday, I had a ray of hope because after many inquiries into my credit report, an institution finally told me that I was pre-approved for my debt consolidation loan. I was preparing to detail each debt I wanted to consolidate in order to make the process easier. It is worth noting that none of my debts are past due or in default—they are all up to date.Finally, Monday came and they were very punctual for the scheduled call, but my complaint is that they truly never had the intention of offering me a loan to consolidate my debts. What they actually provide is a payment plan where, supposedly, at the end they offer you a “graduation loan.”I have no problem with their product itself, but the fact that they advertise something they do not actually offer is not fair. I feel like I wasted my time and effort preparing for one thing, only for it to turn out to be something else. Today, I am going to file a report with the FTC.
