For two consecutive years, I reached out to the service for a battery replacement for my vehicle, expecting a new battery backed by a three-year warranty. Unfortunately, this has been a disappointing experience. The cost of membership has skyrocketed to over $250 per month, which I paid, only to find myself needing battery replacement due to a dead battery in cold weather. The first battery failed within a year, and although a friendly technician replaced it, I had to pay the hefty membership fee again, mistakenly believing it covered a full year instead of just one month. I never received a membership card, leaving me unaware of my membership number. The technician expressed her frustration with the low-quality batteries provided, and now, less than a year later, my second replacement battery is also dead. The fees I paid could have easily covered a new battery elsewhere, and I feel stranded once more when temperatures drop. I refuse to pay this exorbitant fee again just to maintain a membership for a warranty that seems ineffective. I believe the service should either replace the battery for free or refund my membership fee. It feels like they are offering subpar batteries at exorbitant prices—this is a scam! I advise others to be cautious.
For two consecutive years, I contacted the service for a battery replacement on my supposedly new battery, which comes with a three-year warranty. Unfortunately, this turned out to be misleading. Previously, the cost for roadside assistance, including battery replacement, was under $20 a month, but now I've paid over $250 monthly. After using the battery replacement service due to a dead battery in the cold, the first battery failed within a year. A friendly technician replaced it, but I had to pay $250 to renew my membership, which I later learned was only for a month. I didn’t even get a membership card, so I don’t know my membership number. The technician expressed frustration over the low-quality batteries provided by the service. Less than a year later, my car won’t start again because that second replacement battery is also dead. I could have purchased a new battery for the same fees I paid, and now I'm left stranded again when temperatures drop. I refuse to pay $250 for just a month of membership to replace a battery that has a three-year warranty but only if I maintain active membership! The service should provide replacements for free or refund my membership fee. They are using substandard batteries and charging exorbitant fees; this is a scam! Avoid it!
I bought a battery in December, which is supposed to have a three-year warranty. However, it failed in August. Despite passing all tests, they refused to honor the warranty. Their own test indicated that the battery was fine, yet taking it to a charging station would void the warranty they don't honor anyway. So, I ended up with a dead battery under warranty that was essentially useless. After being a member since 2008 and never using their benefits until December 2024, I recommend finding another service for roadside assistance. This experience has shown me that the service is untrustworthy.
The service owes me money for unauthorized auto withdrawals. After several days of trying to reach the right representative, I was informed that I would be reimbursed. However, the check I received was for a much lower amount than what I was owed. When I called again, they acknowledged a mistake and promised to send another check. Days later, I received another check, yet again for a lesser amount. Now, I am in the process of getting a third check, and I keep getting transferred between representatives. In my view, this service is fraudulent.
I suggest looking for a different roadside assistance company, as this one will not support you. My vehicle broke down in the city, and the service sent a contracted garage to tow it. My car requires flatbed or dolly towing due to its all-wheel drive. Instead, it was dragged for 15 miles, causing around $6,000 in damage. The service refuses to take any responsibility for the actions of their contracted garage and has been unhelpful in resolving the issue.
I hold three separate policies with this service, but they close at 5 or 6 PM, making it impossible to manage my policies after that time. The website and AI in their call center are very frustrating and need significant improvement. This may be my last year with them, as the service quality has declined, and the prices have doubled since I started.
