I had booked more than 6 months before my date an accomodation. Then, this accomodation got an issue so I needed to chooses another one which something that I did and I signed and the exact same contract.
I finally decided to cancel my booking 4 months before. I submitted my cancellation reservation (request ID 7154) on January 22nd 2026 for a booking starting on May 8th, 2026. My cancellation was confirmed, my access to the portal has been removed, yet no refund has been issued.
According to Londonist's own cancellation made more than 2 weeks before the start date must be refunded in full, except for the booking fee. My cancellation took place more than three months before the start date, making my refund fully due.
I had exchanges with many londonist's "customer supports" who just don't answer some messages, tell you that it's not their role to manage it (without giving you any help to get in touch with someone else) and tell you that you signed the new contract. Or they tell you that you signed the contract so it's not possible and the second after tell you that It can take time (between 4 and 6 weeks to be refunded) but then you have a londonist's customer support who just sends you a message to know if you have any questions concerning your accomodation... You tell him, You canceled it one month before and he answers that he doesn't see anything like that on your Londonist profile...
Derin Londonist, Georgi Stefanov and Mohammed Londonist are the ones I got in touch with for my cancellation request (more the email of the fianncial support but I didn't get any answer since january...). They haven't given me any help so far, haven't answered at the majority of my messages and can't use the contract as a reference in a clear way because they know I should be refunded. I sent them a message on monday as a last chance with the exact same reasons I wrote down here. Guess what? No answer from any of them...
I hope I don't have to go further to get my money back Londonist team...

Super quick and easy. I needed to extend my stay and all i had to do was send a request and then Jigyasa kindly assisted me and got back to me quickly with price and date options as well as got me my same room I’ve been staying in and was very patient she I needed to wait for money to be sent from my oatrenst abroad. Had a great experience booking Chapters white city residence with the Londonist. My agent was Khaled Matad and he was extremely helpful throughout the process. I was quite skeptical at first because I made the booking from India and wasn’t quite sure whether they’re a legitimate company or not, but their team was extremely helpful throughout and they do have good deals on short term accommodation stays.
I turned to the service with the hope of receiving adequate assistance in finding accommodation in central London, aiming to avoid any complications. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. The images displayed on the platform showcased the best rooms in the building, while the one I received was in poor condition: dirty, outdated, and had an unpleasant odor. Despite my repeated complaints, no solutions were provided. Additionally, I was often surprised by a cleaning staff member who entered my room without knocking, including one instance while I was asleep, which was quite distressing. All my concerns were treated with indifference, frequently redirecting me to an automated system that failed to deliver any real help. What should have been a relaxing summer vacation turned into a nightmare, to the extent that I contemplated relocating at my own cost just to escape the dreadful environment. I strongly recommend that others avoid this situation.
