I contacted this company regarding a Machu Picchu tour and was put in touch with David Quinn, who was helpful at first, but a bit pushy about getting me to commit. After about 4 emails requesting changes, he told me that he had already made a TON of changes and wished he would have told me earlier about my requests. As I am researching and planning while corresponding, I would not have known about modifications right away. I ended up not booking with this company after the final email making me feel like I was asking for too much and causing such an inconvenience. I did not expect this treatment from a LUXURY travel company. I recommend you look elsewhere for agents who are patient and respectful.
Booking process for this vacation was easy and detailed and helped us to prepare well for this trip and to know what to expect well in advance. We received very specific itinerary on a travel app and could follow our accommodation, travel schedule and activities during the trip. Diana was always very responsive when we had a question outside of itinerary. In every place we travelled we had different driver and tourist guide for that region. We were very pleased to find out how knowledgeable and helpful they all were, very good experience spending time with all the people who agency arranged to work for this trip with us. We highly recommend Luxury Peru Travel for creating and realising an unforgettable beautiful traveling experience in Peru.
Everything ran super smoothly, this was a complex trip with many stops, journeys and tours involved and there were no mistakes and everyone involved with the Luxury Peru TC were on time. Only tiny negatives were no medical support in Lima so we had to sort that out ourselves and a poor meal in Arequipa.

Everything was perfectly organized—from hotels and transportation to amazing local guides who really brought the history and culture to life. The itinerary was thoughtful, stress-free, and filled with unforgettable moments in Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu. All our daily local contacts met us at the indicated places where and when expected. Contacts (guides, drivers and intermediaries) were very helpful and polite. The locations planned and toured exceeded our expectations. The bus and train service was a very pleasant and comfortable experience as well. All in all, Luxury Peru was very professional and made us feel like ‘special’ clients. Even the weather cooperated.
I usually plan our trips. This was and exceptionally busy year for my family, so I decided to use a tour company for the first time.We enjoyed the communication ahead of time. After our arrival, every time we had a tour guide or driver they were prompt and helpful. Machu Picchu was everything we dreamed of. A few of the hotels were some of the best we have ever stayed in. We loved both train rides.When things worked according to plan, this was a perfect trip. However, we had a couple of major snafus that put a damper on our experience.I always book a spa/relaxing experience in the middle of our trips. This is a great way to catch your breath, reflect, and get ready for the second half. We booked a special spa treatment at the Inkaterra El Pueblo after our first day at Machu Picchu. We had to run through town to get to the appointment on time. When we arrived, they had no record of our treatment. The front desk was not at all helpful and did not offer any concern. We called the Travel Company at this point and they were zero help. No explanations and no solutions were offered. A 'luxury' company would have offered an alternative or made up the error at some point. We decided to just go to dinner. The food was not good. Then we went to the room...no hot water, a dead bug in the shower, and stains on the walls. Yikes. We were also not informed that there was a hot springs on site available for our use and we were not offered a welcome drink, both things we later found out were included.Another reason we chose this company was that small group or private tours were part of the package. On our Lake Titicaca day there were at least 40 people on our tour. In no land is 40 people a small group.While we did appreciate many aspects of the tour, in my mind a Luxury Experience (and the huge price tag) means that everything is seamless, and if there is an issue it gets addressed immediately. Based on this trip, I probably won't use a company again.
David planned our itinerary perfectly according to our budget and what we wanted to do and see. He also made recommendations that we wouldn’t have considered and we were very pleased he did as we would have missed out on an enjoyable train journey from Puno to Cusco with Luxury Peru Rail. All the tour guides and drivers were excellent and friendly. Only criticism was the long drive from Arequipa to Puno over the two days.
BEST TRIP EVER. All was conduced seamlessly and top shelf, from the arrival to the airport in Quito Ecuador, City tour and adventures , Galápagos explorations, to Peru’s Lima tour, Cusco tours, Aquas Calientes and Machu Picchu. The hotels and restaurants were superb. The guides friendly, provided smooth transitions when traveling and well informed tours. They know their cities. Diana Parra was there for us if there were questions. I’d highly recommend and will use The Luxury Peru Travel Company again.
