This Estate Agents went above and beyond to sell my property..We had many difficulties but they always reassured me at these times.They were able to negotiate a great deal after previously been let down and kept me informed every step of the way.Also provided me with various tradesmen who were excellent
Unimpressed that they refuse to take details for potential buyers unless they have a second phone number. Most people only have the one number, no landlines, and there are real life situations where victims of domestic abuse can't provide a second number, whether that be friends or family, in case their abusers find out they are trying to leave. Also scenarios where people have no one else they can rely on, they just have their own one number. I am unable to provide a second number as this is my situation. This has left a bad taste in my mouth, and any houses listed for sale by Martin Thornton I will be actively avoiding going forward.
Martin and his team obviously know the local market very well (which is probably why I have seen Martin quoted in the national press on property matters about the Huddersfield area). The whole team were always very attentive and professional and kept us informed throughout the process. We found their fees highly competitive. I have no hesitation in recommending this agency.
Bailie worked his socks off on our sale there had been quite a few hurdles to jump but he got there in the end. His communication was first class, always on our side when things went pear shaped. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Thanks for all your hard work Bailie.
My move took far longer than planned because of the chain further up. Bailie was in fact acting for my vendor and as such was a mine of information about where the logjam was and the likelihood of a realistic moving date.When he was unavailable the other staff were equally helpful and had the latest news to hand. Very happy with the service, particularly as Martin Thornton were not acting for me
My father went to book a valuation last week as he is planning on moving area to be near his daughters. Despite the fact they advertise free valuations online they told him he would have to pay £150 to have his house valued and it was only when he was leaving saying he would get a valuation elsewhere that they called him back and said they would do it for free. I can’t help but feel that they saw an 86 year old man and thought they would take advantage of him. It’s absolutely appalling!!

Particular thanks has to go through Alesha who provided an outstanding service, constantly going out of her way to keep all parties up to date (taking on additional duties that you would expect your solicitor to do!). Without Alesha, this sale would not have gone through, I am so grateful for all of Alesha's perseverance to enable us to move into our 'forever home'
