I've been in The Reverse Engineer program at Mastering.com for a little over a year now. I've been very blown away by this program and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to take their music production skills to the next level. The online coursework is very well laid out - they take you through room treatment and correction, ear training, mastering, mixing, and recording all in a very logical, easy to understand way. I think what makes Mastering.com stand out though is the community and mentorship. They are constantly doing events to hone their skills, have mentorship calls multiple times a week, a great group of community members, and feedback calls where you can bring in your music to help you course correct/make improvements. You can tell everyone is very genuinely there to help each other and make great music.
My experience as a student at mastering.com has exceeded all my expectations. Mastering.com provides incredible learning materials and a comprehensive program that is well laid out and extremely thorough. There are plenty of opportunities to practice as you go along. As if this weren't enough, the mentorship aspect of the program is incredible- you have access to an assortment of very knowledgable and experienced audio professionals. Furthermore, there are many additional online learning events that you can join. In fact, it is simply impossible to take full advantage of all the offerings as there are so many. One of the best parts of the program is having access to the community. The mastering.com community is filled with like-minded and wonderful people from all over the world and I feel lucky to be part of it. I have learnt and grown so much as an audio engineer over the last year and I can't recommend this course highly enough.

I am an older retired musician with a passion for recording music, both originals and covers. I have never been 100% satisfied with my mixes and decided to try the Vocal Intensive program. I thought the online video lessons were fantastic. The instructors were great and the daily Zoom Mentor calls were awesome. Not only did I learn about recording and producing vocals, but I was able to apply much of the instruction to my full mixes resulting in recordings that have exceeded my expectations. Having a professional engineer listen to your mix and be able to adjust and tweak it online is amazing. They showed me things that honestly I never paid attention to previously. The changes made a world of difference to the quality of the song, vocals and instrumentation. You get what you put into this class. If you are not willing to do the homework and have it reviewed, save your money and stay as you are. This is the best money I have ever spent for my recording journey! I will now be enrolling in the Production Intensive Plan. Can't wait
Everything about this program is incredibly positive. The curriculum is top notch, the mentorship is at the highest level of professionalism, and the community is supportive to no end. If you put in the work, you will reap the rewards. Insanely glad I found this program!
I have been a part of this community for two years now and it has been an amazing experience. The mentors really know their stuff and are really great teachers. If you ever hope to mix or master any music successfully, you need to be able to hear properly. Most of us don't realize how each of our rooms have a different frequency response in different areas, and we are left wondering why our mixes don't sound good anywhere else but in our room! When I learned that the first thing that happens after you join this course is they work with you to fix your room, I joined right away! This was the first missing piece to achieving radio-ready music, and they helped me to get my room to the standards that were needed in frequency response, impulse response, and decay times. I love how my room sounds!The program lessons start with mastering first before moving into mixing and production. The Mastering.com team does a great job of explaining what you need to learn and why, and they show you how to go about doing what needs to be done. There are lots of opportunities to ask questions to the mentors at various times as well as in the group forum. The people are so amazing and supportive of each other. It really is a great community!I feel this course is more valuable to people who have at least a basic understanding of recording and mixing music, and using music software designed for that. This course will take your knowledge and understanding to the next level!Joining this course and community was the best decision I have made to improve my room acoustics, hearing, knowledge, and skills. I am so happy to be learning and making real improvements!
