Review Time
I'm a member (sometimes premium, sometimes not) for 7 years already.Last year job posts are more a way of scam rather than actual work.I am blonde european and it always was not many castings for my type. But last year they do not mention type of a person the client is asking for. For example, i apply with my child for "kids all nationalities and both genders age 5-17". And can see than only 7-10 boys arab looking were shortlisted. Not a single girl, not a blonde boy. So others symply waste their free application.Same to the ladies castings: middle age, all nationalities. From 200+ applications they invite to the office 8-10 asian ladies.I do not recomnend this service anymore.
Honest Review of MixFame PlatformI want to share my honest experience with MixFame, and it’s up to you to decide whether my rating, which is the lowest possible, is justified. We had three premium accounts on the platform—my three daughters were registered. Over three months, we received invitations to only two projects, and both were for my youngest daughter, who is 10 years old.First Project:The first project went smoothly. Communication was direct with the client, everything was handled respectfully, and all the details were clear. Payment was made immediately.Second Project:The second project was a completely different experience. Communication was handled through a MixFame agent, and from the first message, we were treated as if we were naive children, incapable of understanding anything. Nothing was explained to me about the shooting process, who to contact on set, where to go, how to wrap up the day, or who to discuss payment with. I mention these points because now I know these details should be addressed beforehand, even before heading to the shoot. We are now working with a professional agency where communication is conducted at a proper level. Before you go to a shoot, you receive a full step-by-step guide, known as a callsheet, detailing everything you need to know.Back to MixFame:After the shoot, I naturally inquired about the payment terms and when we would receive the payment. I was met with a condescending response, saying that I should never discuss payment with the client, only with the agents. However, it was the agent’s responsibility to provide all the terms upfront, rather than leaving us in such a situation and then arrogantly telling us what we should and shouldn’t do.This payment issue dragged on for over a month! And this was with a premium account, where, according to their own terms, premium accounts are supposed to receive payment within 15 days. After sending 15 emails to MixFame and even complaining to the clients themselves about the delayed payment, the MixFame office finally paid us for the project. However, they sent the payment through Al Ansari, despite me providing my bank account details, and they made the transfer in the name of my 10-year-old child! With a small mocking note in the email suggesting that we could change the recipient's name. This was our experience with MixFame. My advice: don’t waste your time, money, and nerves on this company! They are pure scammers! There are verified and professional companies in Dubai, but MixFame is just a gathering of scammers.
