Review Time
We knew John as a fellow primary school parent and from his social media site promoting local businesses. So when we were looking at buying our second home, we already had a name. John and I had chatted a few years earlier when we were considering buying a house just after I was made redundant. Some great advice then and so we went back to him this time. He took the hard work out of finding the right loan. John and his team submitted all our documents and worked with our conveyancer so that everything went smoothly. John explains things in simple ways so we understood. And he was so responsive to our questions! Can’t recommend him highly enough.

John helped us navigate home loan application and approval while I was on parental leave - there's no way we would have achieved this without his guidance and knowledge of each lender's 'household policy'. John was so patient throughout our long search for a home during extended lockdowns and worked tirelessly to respond to our many, often time-sensitive questions - sharing the ups and downs with us. John's experience is invaluable and he was able to connect us with other professionals who became integral in our eventual success, including a buyer's advocate. We have seen that John is prepared to go above and beyond for all of his clients, and he has become a great friend over the time that we have known him. John is an incredible broker who put in every effort to find the best lender for our situation. My partner and I have unique employment situations that the bigger banks would not consider. Luckily a friend of mine told us about John and everything became instantly easier. He took the time to explain the process and simplify information into plain english which we definitely needed as first home buyers.Getting a mortgage felt unknown and a bit scary at times, but once John was in the picture it became something we understood and felt confident proceeding with (with many laughs along the way). We met John for the first time back in late 2019 when we first started to look at buying our first house. During that time we had a second child and a pandemic start so we held off buying for a year or so. John always stayed in contact with us during that time and checked in on us regularly. We were finally able to purchase our first home at the end of 2021 and moved in last week. John was with us every step of the way and guided us skillfully through all the hoops and hurdles. Applying for a home loan was the easiest part of our first home buying experience, thanks to having John as our mortgage broker. He was always happy to explain each part of the process and answer our questions. We experienced some hurdles and delays during the settlement period (unrelated to the home loan), and John was great at maintaining communication with us and also our conveyancer throughout this period, to help keep things moving forward. We are happy that we chose John as our broker for this experience.
