I went on a Spiti Valley tour through Motorbike Expeditions. Their service was outstanding. Here are the points worth mentioning:1. Bikes are new and owned by them.2. Hotel stays are very good, with double occupancy and delicious food.3. Our tour guide and leader, Surya, makes sure that no one gets lost. He waits for everyone on the squares. He shared his riding skills and experience with us, which helped us during the ride.4. There was a backup vehicle behind us with our luggage, bike parts, and mechanic.
Akshay and Surya Team of Motorbike expedition is thoroughly professional. They give first preference to the safety of riders. Their back up is very strong. I'm sure they will Excel in whichever Ride they organise. My best wishes will be with them foreverDate of experience: May 23

I recently went on a Himalayas motorbike tour to Ladakh with my friend and it was an incredible experience. The views of the mountain ranges were breathtaking and the winding roads made for an exciting ride. The tour was well-organized and our tour guide was knowledgeable about the region and its history. We were able to visit various monasteries and other cultural sites, which added to the overall experience. The accommodations were comfortable and the food was delicious. Overall, I highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves adventure and wants to explore the beauty of the Himalayas.

Long Review from a Westerner:Riding a motorcycle through the Indian Himalayas was an apex trip. Ride of a lifetime as most say.Being from the US – researching expedition tour companies proved to be difficult. I’m writing this review in hopes to provide details that I myself could not find in my research. NOTE: there is another company by the same name... this review is for the Motorbike Expeditions, PVT, Bhuntar. I'd confirm it is the Bhuntar based one which is the original.First off, as you quickly learn, 95% of “tour operators” are resellers who are NOT actually based in North India. If you ask important bike related questions, they ignore you or take days to reply. The reason is simple - they don’t have any motorcycles, they are just reselling as astronomical rates because they know you have no way to verify anything.Shockingly, I witnessed situations where operator flies into Manali (starting point), rents a bunch of bikes the day before and go takes foreigners on Himalayan runs(!) If you have done any type of motorcycling, this is scary. You need and want someone local – because the need for local road knowledge, where to eat, stay is all very important especially if thing go sideway. Think: Sherpas on Mt Everest.Luckily, I struck gold. I found MotorBike Expeditions, PVT from TripAdvisor. They are based in Bhuntar, India and they are not a random reseller. I did a 3500km over 26 days with MotoBike Expeditions, PVT – the oldest company in the area (12 years). It turns out that they have their own fleet of 50+ bikes and staff mechanics and they run the expedition themselves. They have no middlemen so they know their bikes. The team grew up in Kullu Valley so when things happen (as they always do) they know what to do. For example, on day 1 of our trip, heavy rains lead to landslides on our main route – we immediately rerouted on backroads that did not show up on Google maps. Others bikers either got stuck or lost a day because they had to go all the way back. I rode 16 days with them leading the expedition through Spiti, Leh, Nubra, etc… They were in a back-up vehicle. The other 10ish days I took the same bike and did a solo run through the Kashmir Valley, Srinagar, Dharmsala, etc. Not one issue, except for a flat that was resolved for less than $1.50 USD.Bike Condition: Low Kilometer, practically brand new (western standards) - 2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan.Tour portion: My 16 day grand Himalayan trip (as on their website) – included my meals, fuel, tea, hotels - basically everything you would need. I brought my own waterproof gear, helmet, boots, etc.Leadership: 26 days of riding the Himalaya’s meant we would all get to know each other very well. Akshay and Rahul would become like brothers over the trip… The team checks-in on you throughout the day. Riding is one thing – but they make sure you are staying well physically. The high-altitudes and weather changes can sometimes wreak havoc – but with these guys, you just hop in the truck if you need a break. It was remarkable having such unexpected attention and care to personal well-being. Even when I was solo they would check in to make sure my day was progressing well and the bike was ok. 3500km throughout North India is pretty long but I lucked out with Motorbike Expeditions in Bhuntar.Mechanical – Riding brutal terrain is brutal on a bike. Each evening when we would get in to our hotel Rahul (a certified RE mechanic) would ask for the moto key – and proceed to do full mechanical check on the brakes, clutch, chain, oil, etc. They ride with spare parts, tires, and my gosh having their own mechanic look over the bike daily – I was hooked. You only worry about your ride – never ever about the bike. It is a fantastic way to do a moto expedition. If you are considering the Himalayas, you simply can’t go wrong here. Having experienced my share of 5 star hospitality – the guys are right up there.
