I am a tutor that has recently joined this site, I've been teaching piano, singing and music theory for many years and am used to unreliable students on other tutor websites cancelling last minute, not paying and not taking lessons seriously.I've been very impressed that the people reaching out to me so far on musicteacher.com have had a genuine interest in learning music, have been reliable and are local to my area (other sites have not been good at this).I encourage more tutors to use this platform.
Andrea is an excellent guitar teacher. He’s taught my son from the ages 7-15. He has the ability to relate to the student at different ages. He is also very patient. My son accomplished his ABRSM grades successfully. During COVID times we switched to on line lessons and he was as dedicated and able to communicate as effectively as in person lessons. He is very accomplished as a guitar player himself and a wonderful person.
Although I have only had two sessions with Mr Kwabla Amenya so far, I can already tell that he’s a great coach. I knew I had a problem that needs to be worked on but I couldn’t really pinpoint the exact issue and it only took two meetings and a vocal test for him to determine what my weakness was and how to strengthen it and I believe that finding the exact problem is an important step to finding the solution to it. I’m really excited to work with him and I look forward to becoming the best version of myself musically through his guidance.
Tom is a fantastic singing teacher who I'd highly recommend. I've been having lessons with him for about a year now, and the improvement I've felt has been brilliant — not just technically, but in my confidence as a singer, which for me has been just as important. He's encouraging, and genuinely fun to learn from — lessons never feel like a chore. As someone with a pretty hectic schedule that involves a lot of travel, I've really appreciated how flexible and accommodating he is with bookings, always finding a way to make things work around my availability. If you're looking for a teacher who makes you feel at ease while actually helping you progress, I'd highly recommend giving Tom a try.
I learnt a lot from the lessons I had with Tom Hier and noticed big improvements in my voice! Unfortunately he was unreliable, spoke disrespectfully about students, and cancelled lessons frequently so I chose to end early. His prices would frequently change just before we were about to start lessons and/or he would try and reduce time offered from 45 mins to 35 mins last minute. I think he would be great to work with for non-professionals who have lots of flexibility in their diaries, and anyone who wants to get into the acting industry/work in the west end/broadway would greatly benefit from his experience. Unfortunately Tom’s approach to booking the lessons and his attitude towards students just didn’t work for me.
Andrea was my guitar teacher for 8 years. He helped me prepare up to grade 5 in ABRSM. He was amazing in practicing pieces, and preparing me for the exams and concerts. His lessons were fun and I always was looking forward to the lessons. I am hoping in some time I would like to restart some lessons with him based on rock.
