Team is fantastic and the way they teaching my son is loving it. He is responsible everyday to his lessons, printing worksheets and ready for his lesson. It took more than half of my burden away as I was thinking he is going to start his GCSE soon and how I will manage work and taking him to Tution and where I will find a better one, where also my will stay connected but I found MyEdSpace on right time. Guided me through vital information that I hadn't picked up in school lessons. It is great that the lessons are recorded and can be viewed again and rewound. The system is easy to navigate and it is clear to see what is going to be covered in each session.
Review of Mr. Louis – English TeacherHonestly, I didn’t have the best experience in Mr. Louis’s class. From the start, something just felt off about the way he interacted with students. There were multiple times where the way he spoke to some of us felt unnecessary — not just strict, but actually condescending. It’s like he didn’t care how his words came across. I understand teachers need to have authority, but there’s a big difference between being firm and making people feel small, and he often crossed that line.Another major issue for me was how unengaging the lessons were. English is a subject that could easily be fun and thought-provoking, but with Mr. Louis, it felt dry and robotic. We’d go through the same boring routine — read, answer questions, move on — with barely any room for discussion or creativity. It felt like he was just ticking boxes instead of actually teaching. There were so many missed opportunities to make the class interactive or interesting, but it seemed like he either didn’t notice or didn’t care.To be fair, maybe some students liked his strict style or found his methods helpful, but for me and a lot of others, it just felt dull and unwelcoming. When a teacher talks down to people and doesn’t put effort into making the subject engaging, it really ruins the whole learning experience.
The lessons are packed with knowledge and are going for a crazy cheap amount ! The teachers and Mods are also engaging in the lessons to make sure students understand the topic . Homework is provided in each lesson on their MES website and when finished with that any mistakes you have made you can correct them with the solutions video after you do the homework. At the end a game of Kahoot or Blooklet is played to reward the students for their hard work. If any lessons are missed you can still access them when you have to make sure you are falling behind. A 10/10 , I definitely recommend! :)
My two boys, Hugo and Henry, have absolutely loved their English and Science lessons. They feel a real affinity with Louis in particular, as well as with Laura does Biology. Louis not only knows his stuff but has such an infectious passion for all things English that even my younger son, who previously had no interest in the subject, now declares English is his favourite subject. They can’t attend lessons live on Mondays so watch them the next day, but when they take part in Wednesday lessons they are always overjoyed when he mentions them and acknowledges their input; it makes them feel very special! The pace of the lessons is excellent - Louis manages to cover everything and keep their attention at the same time as being friendly and personal. We all feel like we know Louis and they’re actually a bit sad that they won’t have him for English next year, but I’m sure Eleanor and Alex will also be very good. Dav, Brook and Laura have been brilliant in the Science lessons too. They all demonstrate the same passion as Louis and they have been absolutely brilliant. As their lessons are on days that my boys have other commitments (they work as cathedral choristers), they haven’t quite built the same affinity with the Science teachers but they’ve managed to do quite a few live Biology lessons and have enjoyed them so much. I would recommend MES to anyone looking for online tuition - whether they home educate, need additional help, or feel their school doesn’t offer enough. I wish you’d start a whole online school and offer all the subjects!
To be honest i've really enjoyed MES so much for the past 4 months especially becasue of the teachers. I am very grateful for Louis,Neil,Laura,Brook and Dav for being absolutley amazing teachers, they have made learning so fun and enjoyable for me and they make it understandable unlike in schools were they don't really explain something properly and you're just their confusedd not really leaning anything. So many thanks to Louis who has been absolutley amazing english teacher, Neil who has made maths very fun and enjoyable, Brook who has made me look forward to learning physics, Laura who has made me unerstand Biology alot more than i did before and for being an amazing teacher and Dav who has been a great chemistry teacher and made it alot more understandable and fun.
