I was arrested for being over the drink drive limit 9 months ago. I contacted NML immediately and received a call from Laura Heywood. She was very reassuring and I am so glad I used NML. Laura was my reviewing lawyer and I’m sure at times I drove her crazy with my panicking emails! She was great and answered all my queries in a timely fashion. Sue (my caseworker) who I dealt with directly - she put all the info together for Laura-) was an absolute delight to deal with, very compassionate in a highly stressful situation.My court lawyer David Houldcroft assisted by his lovely wife Nikki were outstanding. Two of the most knowledgeable, experienced people you could hope for. I was a very anxious client and they both worked to put my mind at ease. I honestly can’t fault the work at NML. I was arrested for DD with a breath reading of 55. From initial conversation with Sandra Cooper who has been extremely helpful throughout the whole process and replied to all my emails in a timely manner. A MASSIVE thank you to David Houldcroft, who made me feel at ease the whole time, was absolutely wonderful at answering all questions and managed to get the best outcome. I was looking at a hefty fine and a potential 16 month ban, however David managed to secure a 9 month ban and a smaller fine than i was expecting. I reached out to National Motor & Lawyers over the Christmas period when most other firms were closed. I was first contacted by Laura. She explained the process clearly and honestly from the start, without trying to make it sound easier than it is like some adverts do. She was upfront about both the positives and the challenges, which I really appreciated, and she showed genuine empathy throughout.Later on, my case was handled by case worker Michael, who was also very supportive. The only thing I would mention is that the solicitors manage a lot of clients at the same time, so sometimes things can feel a little last minute, but it is clear they are doing their best to keep everything moving.I also worked with Jake later on for the cost reclaims , and he has been absolutely brilliant, super clear, friendly, and quick to respond.
