I booked an intensive driving course through National Intensive and experienced ongoing issues with lesson delivery, instructor conduct, and how concerns were handled.
Despite agreeing lesson days and times well in advance and booking annual leave from work, lessons were repeatedly unconfirmed, rearranged at short notice, shortened, or cancelled. I was told in writing that I needed to “keep on top of” the instructor regarding scheduling, which I do not believe is reasonable after paying for an intensive course.
During lessons, I experienced conduct that I found unprofessional, including being shouted at and repeatedly told statements such as “I’ve got your money and I’ve got the knowledge”, accompanied by tapping pockets. This occurred across multiple lessons and negatively affected my learning.
When I escalated these issues, National Intensive stated in writing that they are “only a booking and administrative agent” and that responsibility for lesson delivery and refunds rests with the instructor. However, the course was marketed and arranged as a single intensive package, and no practical resolution was offered when issues arose.
Given the cost of the course, I found the value for money to be poor. In practice, National Intensive’s involvement amounted to booking the driving test and locating an instructor. They did not organise lesson schedules, liaise with the instructor, or manage issues when problems occurred.
This review reflects my personal experience. I would recommend others clarify in advance exactly what the company is responsible for and what support is provided if issues arise.

The service provided was outstanding, featuring great communication and an easy-to-navigate website that sends reminders about what is required for the test day. Additionally, I was matched with a fantastic local instructor who prepared me efficiently for my test while maintaining a perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness. I highly recommend this!
The instructor was unprofessional, arrived late, and prioritized personal matters during the lesson while expecting the student to travel over a mile to meet him instead of providing pick-up from the student's residence. This was unacceptable service for a premium price. Reaching customer support was a challenge; they disregarded all concerns, refused to accept any criticism, and claimed that refunds were not possible due to short notice, which was a result of their delayed responses to complaints. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've encountered. I cannot recommend this service at all.

I had a wonderful phone call with a representative who helped me choose the right course based on my experience and level. Very helpful person. I've booked my course and am just waiting for the dates and instructor assignment, but so far, it's been a great experience. I'll provide a follow-up review at the end of this journey :)
