NATIONWIDE DONT SEEM TO WANT TO SUPPORT CUSTOMER WHO HAVE COMPLEX MENTAL HEALTH ISSUE ALSO.
NATIONWIDE HAVE TREATED ME REALLY BADLEY , HAD FRAUD ON MY ACCOUNT LAST FROM COMPANY I CANT USED DUE TO NOT HAVING A DL TO DRIVE. THE LACK OF HELP SUPPORT OVER THE LAST FLEW WEEKS BEEN REALLY MORE . I HAVE HAD STAFF PUTTING THE PHONE DOWN ME GIVING ME INCORRECT INFORMATION, FRAUD DEPARTMENT RAISING MY CASE IN CORRECT TWICE ONCE HAS A VISA DISPUTE AND THEN HAS SCAM CLAIM.
THE BANK CLEARLY DONE WANT TO HELP ME AND NOW BASICLY SAYING THEY WILL NOT GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK EVEN THO NOT HAD GOOD OR SERVICE FROM THEM.
I would like to write about Nationwide.
Years ago they been very cruel to me.
I was naive, had poor english. £ 8000 saving they freezed and never gave me.
Years later I went back and opened bank account. I would say I sow better environment mor responsible and approachable. The staff dealing with customer very nice, welcoming and professional.
Recently I closed the bank. The young lady the name Chelsea was serviced me.
She was a smiley, lovely young girl, very professional, with a pleasant manner and respectful. She organised very nicely closer my account. I left the bank with thankful feelings. God bless her.
Nationwide are horrendous if you want a decent banking experience don’t keep your money with them. They have issues with their banking app. I cancelled two standing orders three years ago. They had an issue with their app and they continued paying them even though they were cancelled. They’ve admitted the fault but only offered me a pathetic £175. They paid £800 out of my account that they weren’t authorised to and I want every penny back. I had to go to the financial ombudsman because they refuse to pay up what they owe. Imagine if you had to get more out of them and their guarantees are worthless you’ll need to fight to get it back. So I recommend not putting a penny with the nationwide unless you want to lose it. The Yorkshire building society is a country mile better than this shower.
Hello, i fell victim to a scam on my credit card. Contacted the Nationwide Fraud Team. No hassle dealt with very well and have had a refund. I am so glad i am a customer of this bank and will continue to be until i croak. Many thanks!
A simple request for clarification over a company taking a payment from my credit card without my consent was turned into a surreal experience with Nationwide Customer services. They would not admit any mistakes and were fixated on absolving themselves of any blame. Listening to genuine concerns is not their forte.
Been with nationwide my whole life seen i can remember and they are literally best!
They provide everything you need their banking security is first in nothing, there customer service is fast and reliable.

Account blocked because they said I was being romance scammed, even when I said I was happy and wanted to see if the lady was real , but they said it was a scam and blocked my account and can't even get access to my nationwide pension, They are taking the rules to the endth degree, which is totley wrong,as they are stopping me using my own money even when I stated it would be at my own risk which they wouldn't accept, They don't have any compassion for senior people, They are a disgrace and hard to deal with poor interest rates to, stay away from them
I asked a Justanswer site to help me on 20/02/26 which they did after agreeing to certain conditions including £1 payment by Card.
What I didn't know was they put a standard order on my account for a £39 payment at a future date.
Nationwide fraud office rang and asked me if I knew about this and they emailed the site to cancel all subscriptions and details.
So they saved me a lot of money.
I’ve been with Nationwide for over 15 years,and I can honestly say they are the best banking group out there.
I’ve had a few problems over the years and these have been quickly rectified by contacting staff over the phone,or staff in branch.
Staff are always happy and friendly.
Loyalty payment of £100 a year.
And you can use the outside ATM to deposit cash,which credits instantly,which is useful at Xmas.
My spouse and I were customers of this building society for over 10 years. Our experience was very positive while Waqas and Rubina were managing the branch — the atmosphere was welcoming, staff appeared happy, and customer service was consistently good.
Unfortunately, since their departure there has been a noticeable decline. The atmosphere became tense, and on several occasions we personally witnessed the new manager, Jennifer, speaking down to and shouting at staff in front of customers. We also experienced and observed her behaving in an abrupt and dismissive manner towards customers, which made visits uncomfortable.
There appeared to be a high turnover of staff during this time, which may help explain the change in atmosphere and service quality.
Because of this, we now visit the Ilford branch, where the experience has been very pleasant. The staff there are polite, professional, and create a much more positive environment for both customers and employees.
