NewsGuard cannot be trusted

NewsGuard cannot be trusted to be objective and impartial, and clearly display a political bias. The clear evidence for this is that they give perfect scores to establishment media "news" entities that consistently and frequently publish false and misleading information (eg: CNN & The New York Times), while conversely giving reliable independent/non-establishment entities terrible scores (eg: The DW, Tim Pool & Prager U).

Biased and anti-"freedom of speech"

Every news story, blogger, person of influence that is not towing the line is instantly on their hitlist. It's concerning that they are so heavily funded yet have no objectivity. I don't care much for the Democrat/Republican, centre-'whatever', but opposing arguments are critical to debating issues, and these muppets only care for one side.

NewsGuard is a scam

NewsGuard is a scam. They are paid liars. TrustPilot should dig deeper before they give such organizations good reviews.

Totally inaccurate!

They basically have all of their ratings upsidedown! Some sites are rated 92-100 that story after story that are wrong. Sometimes even the news source changes their story, but news guard maintains their high rating. Sites that are rated low have their stories right from the start, but news guard says they are misinformation.Look for news stories from sites that are rated lowest and you will get accurate news!Bottom line! Newsguard IS a SCAM!

just bad

just badNewsGuard is a prime example of the dangers of unchecked media bias and subjectivity masquerading as an authoritative source of information. This so-called "news rating" service claims to be an objective arbiter of online news sources, but its bias and lack of transparency are evident.First and foremost, NewsGuard's methodology for rating news websites is deeply flawed. They claim to evaluate sites for credibility and reliability, but their criteria are vague and often politically motivated. It's no secret that the team behind NewsGuard leans towards a particular political perspective, and this bias shines through in their assessments. Moreover, NewsGuard's decision to use a color-coded system to rate websites as "green" or "red" simplifies a complex issue into an overly simplistic binary, leaving no room for nuance. This approach oversimplifies the nature of news sources and is a disservice to readers seeking a deeper understanding of media credibility.Perhaps most concerning is NewsGuard's lack of transparency. They don't disclose the specific details of their ratings, leaving readers in the dark about how they arrived at their conclusions. The secretive nature of their evaluations raises questions about the legitimacy of their claims and their true intentions. In an era where media literacy and trustworthiness are essential, NewsGuard adds to the problem rather than providing a solution. Their lack of transparency, subjective evaluations, and clear political bias make them an unreliable source for assessing news credibility. Readers should be cautious when relying on NewsGuard's assessments and instead seek more transparent, impartial sources for evaluating media credibility.

Biased

Totally biased - they can't distinguish between errors and false information, from controversial opinions and topics on which we are still gathering further information from, in order to quest for truth. I.e. if they can find evidence that os contradictory to what is cited then it's "wrong" but the premis of controversial topics is that it isn't simply right or wrong and that there often is contradicting data.

More like LeftNewsList

I never got this, and normally that would disqualify me from writing a review, right? Well, I'm writing this because I fear that Newsguard's business model should be considered harmful. The ratings are essentially based on how well news outlets follow the establishment narrative. It doesn't matter (to newsguard) when the establishment gets the story wrong- like the russia collusion hoax or the fact that the hunter biden laptop existed and was actually authentic. They want people to believe that the whole world got that stuff wrong accidentally, or incidentally or whatever the case may be. Where in fact, there's actually criticism of the establishment narrative ALL OF THE TIME- that's literally how discussion works- this is how politics has always worked. All they are doing is suppressing the truth when it counts. We all know the truth (usually) comes out eventually.Their policies do not encourage different ideas- they could potentially allow the establishment to brainwash the majority of people long enough to get the popular vote in- then use that to censor any idea that goes against the grain under the guise of strawmen terms such as "misinformation, malinformation, disinformation" with little substantial counter-arguments. Why no counter-arguments? Well, who wants to waste time arguing with conspiracy theorists, right? The solution to bad speech is more speech. They're getting Newsguard into libraries, public schools, government buildings, universities and they're only spending buckets of funding into more places like that. They're partnering with some of the most powerful and richest people in the world to try and get more control over people. If you want to be sure that the news you read is tilted into the direction of the establishment, and you want to be *all accidentally wrong together* with the establishment and newsguard- this is the service for you.Rather, if you are looking for true, good journalism, you can't even use Newsguard with ratings in reverse- that doesn't work either. So if you want true news, Newsguard is of absolutely no use to you.

Leftist influencer

I find your reporting and evaluations to be biased. Based on your relationship with Microsoft, which is influenced by Bill the Pedophile, that's all I need to know.

This is just another deep state

This is just another deep state, woke agenda bogus 'public service' agent that serves the evil criminals who are trying to shut down our critical thinking skills and enslave us more than they already have. Bad news for them - God is with us and we, awakened and aware are their worst nightmare. Go to hell news guard.

Beware of Newsguard

Beware of Newsguard. It is highly partisan to the very liberal side of things and distorts facts and events to support its political agenda. It's a very dishonest source.
