A truly exhilarating experience, the house was beautiful and so comfortable, the food prepared and made with love by Jesse and Amy, truly Devine. The hot tubs and aromatherapy massage so relaxing . Meeting lots of new friends and having such fun with the murderer mystery cast...haha. Silvia you were the star of the show as well as the murderer, you need to find an amdram group you will be famous!!! And Ashleigh our amazing host, you exceeded all expectations.
Another lovely afternoon organised by Ashleigh. Great to chat with other people about the books they are reading and give/received recommendations. Even more special is that dedicated relaxing reading time away from the distractions of home, work etc in a beautiful environment. Can't wait the for the Christmas retreat.
I have been to a few of these retreats and they have all been fantastic. It starts with lunch or afternoon tea and does really well to cater to different dietary requirements. You can then find a cozy place to read anything you like; book, magazine or newspaper, totally up to you. Everyone is really friendly and, with some, you can get some goodies and a surprise book. We will be definitely going to as many as possible in the future!
I have now been to three retreats in three different locations (Chester, Liverpool, Nantwich). Ashleigh is a fantastic host, able to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I love her attention to details and the personalised gift she puts together. Food is always delicious, and you are guanteed to find a comfy seat where you can spend a few hours reading to your heart's content. I have thouroughly enjoyed partecipating, and I am looking forward to the next retreat
What a wonderful way to have some quality ‘me’ time by giving yourself ‘permission’ to do something you love without that niggle at the back of your head that you should actually be doing something else! Ashleigh has put so much hard work into creating a relaxing way to kick off your shoes which empowers you just to take a breath. We had such a wonderful afternoon and came away feeling thoroughly refreshed. And, as a bonus, we were all given a perfect present, beautifully gift wrapped, but to tell you what it was would spoil the surprise should you choose to go on a retreat yourself!
Stumbled upon Novel Retreats Afternoon Tea Reading Retreat via Eventbrite & friend and I booked on right away.We had the best time on the day! It was such a lovely setting,a really lovely group of attendees,wonderful host & overall a fantastic experience.We were also gifted some bookish gifts & this was such a lovely touch to add to the experience.Very much looking forward to future events! Well what can I say, I didn’t know what to expect, it was amazing. Set in the Grizedale Forest, a lovely property, surroundings and wonderful food that just kept on coming, delicious. Ashleigh was a fabulous host, with all her personal touches, along with her team, Jesse and Amy, thank you all so much. New friends, lots of chat and laughter, not to forget the many spaces to relax, sit and read in the lovely lounge or outside with the picturesque country views and the fabulous weather 🌞 With time to pop out for a couple of hours to visit local areas, boat trips on lake Windermere, with a delicious packed lunch prepared for us by Chef Jesse.I would highly recommend the experience and would love to do it all again.
