The experts at OBEDIA and PCAudioLabs set the highest possible bar for a music production studio upgrade. Hitting peak frustration at the inability to get a consumer-grade PC to handle the immense and nuanced workflow, processing memory, speed, and reliability necessary to stay in artist mode, I sought out numerous recommendations and thankfully found PCAudioLabs. I called immediately with a list of questions and Brian patiently walked me through their computer systems, production tips, and practices. I did my own homework and ordered a rack-mount system that they built specifically for my studio workflow, speed, and storage. They immediately answered every phone call and email and responded expertly to every question and issue I submitted within moments or hours at the longest. The end product is a powerhouse instrument that taught me to look at your computer system as an instrument at the level of every guitar, keyboard, mic, or electronic plugin tool - perhaps the most fundamental instrument in today's electronic music environment. Their incredible support extended far beyond the purchase and impressive shipping (earlier than estimated) to tweaking critical settings, and expertly addressing music software and hardware quirks I had never had addressed even by those software companies. Their detailed knowledge of the vast number of programs I use daily changed my workflow and output immediately. This is hands down the smartest studio enhancement I've made and I will never run less than what they built and provided. I can't imagine using a different product or company and have OBEDIA (their training team) on constant subscription for any music production issue I encounter. This is not just the best music production support company I ever encountered - they are one of the very best COMPANIES of any sort I have ever encountered. Horrible customer support. Failed to take responsibility for an obvious issue with their computer and pushed blame to other companies. Arrogant and rude, and will not admit fault even when obviously wrong. Would not trust Brian to work on a toaster. He was not right about anything, and despite an obvious hardware issue, continued to blame universal audio for the problem. After weeks of listening to him and him being wrong about everything, I finally paid a local shop to replace the motherboard today, and the computer is now working flawlessly again. Absolutely the most arrogant and at the same time bad at his job tech rep I’ve ever talked to. I put up with it for months, so he would fix my computer, but he never did. Just pointed fingers at others despite clear evidence of a hardware failure.Brian’s reply to this review is absolutely false. First of all, he is the only person working at this “company”. Secondly, I put up with his attitude and was very nice for months, and did not resort to getting angry until the very end, where, after I had clearly proven that the issue was with the pc, Brian still failed to take any responsibility for the problem. I have detailed documentation to prove everything. He wasted my time for months, and I did not resort to any berating until he refused to acknowledge the problem even after I proved it was a hardware issue and used a different company to fix the issue. He is an absolutely terrible and rude support rep and eventually I got fed up with his condescending attitude. There is absolutely nothing false about my review, and others should know about my experience.

Although my challenge could not be balanced this time, I gave 5 stars for theulir amazing service.My last review was about the spare laptop batteries. They were both past their normal expiration dates and weak at best when received. But they weren't OEM because they aren't serviced anymore. Circumstances prevented me from getting replacements because of shipping costs out of the country (Peru) both ways, the lack of UPS delivery where we live, and the taking of a chance to get even weaker batteries.PCAudioKabs & OBEDIA went out of their way to accomodate me in every way possible. It was just out of their hands. I know they are busy but they took the time necessary to go the extra mile for me to try to get replacements from the supplier. They stopped manufacturing these batteries over 5 years ago.These laptop batteries were delivered already past their shelf-life of 4 to 5 years. Sitting kills these batteries. So it wasn't PCAudioLabs fault from any standpoint and I certainly don't hold them responsible.Actually, it is quickly becoming time to upgrade even though my present PCAudioLabs laptop is still an excellent music computer. I also want to move into Thunderbolt and that takes a complete upgrade to a new laptop.You can not go wrong by purchasing a dedicated music laptop or pc from PCAudioLabs. To look elswhere would be going backwards in my humble opinion. I have worked their entry level laptop to death for over 4 years and it hasn't let me down in any way. All I have done is upgrade the primary drive from 250GB to 2TB for more music dedicated programs.Again, my thanks goes out to Brian and Jayce for their excellent computers and especially for their service.
