For anyone with celiac disease, this cafe is fantastic! Although I reside 120 miles away, while traveling to Manchester Airport, I decided to take a detour for lunch based on Facebook recommendations. I enjoyed a fantastic fish finger sandwich and even bought three pies to take home and freeze. The staff is incredibly welcoming and supportive. The experience was truly remarkable, and I only wish I lived closer.
I'm a big fan of this establishment and know first hand how much and love and hard graft the owners Hayley and Dave put into this business. I'm genuinely upset that someone has posted a negative review months after visiting without speaking with The Hadfields and not giving them the opportunity to deal with the complaint appropriately within a timely manner. Telling people to beware of 5 star reviews, suggesting that the reviews are fake or lies is really below the belt as this is not the case, I frequent the shop a lot and everybody raves about the quality of food. You can trust these reviews, this deli is wonderful, Hayley and Dave put their heart and sole into this business but with all the will in the world, none of us are 100% all of the time. I suggest the next time this person is unhappy about a product or service, they put their big girl knickers on and speak to the proprietor direct.
Lovely place, amazing hosts, and great food. Which just happens to be GF. You really can’t tell the difference, which makes it amazing for anyone with gluten intolerances or coeliac disease. A fantastic asset to the town in particular and the north west generally.
We love to visit Hayley & Dave whenever we visit Altrincham. Neither of us are gluten intolerant but the food is so good you wouldn’t know it was gluten free. I particularly love the vanilla slice and the Denver Experience. The pies are also excellent. If you are ever in Altrincham go and visit, you won’t be disappointed.
