Poor quality and damaged produce

Just received 2nd order. First week a couple of things were either damaged or bad and I was refunded for them which was fine. This week several items either poor quality or damaged. Packaging is very poor, could easily be rectified by using recycled cardboard punnets and cardboard deviders which other reviewer also recommended. The fact that boxes do not have a full solid top is also part of the problem. This could easily be rectified but doesn't look likely as I'm not the first to mention it. Sadly that's not the only problem Produce is of poor quality, today the cauliflower received was small and far from fresh, the green beens, celery and other items won't last for long either. Waiting for response from company but unsure if I'll be giving them a third chance to get it right.

I love this service

I love this service. The spinach is divine. The lettuces are fresh and crisp and free of pesticides. I love the kiefer and berries and the dates. If I'm out of town, I just pause the service for a week or two. Very good customer service.

Tasty, Flavoursome products.

Being the first time I've ordered organic fruit/veg online I was very impressed with quick delivery and efficient email to inform me of such.Have not used all products yet, but so far lovely small, very tasty canary bananas, lovely potatoes, simply boiled and full of flavour (nothing else needed to add to them), flavoursome lettuce, carrots/cauli/apples/parsnips look good too.The only downside being the presentation. A stout cardboard box with a sheet of thick packaging on top, but the paper bags products were in were so damp they disintegrated on moving, and some items were loose. Apples, potatoes, and veg were jumbled up together, one banana was squashed and not presentable - though tasty! Secure packaging would be a great improvement - even cardboard squares to keep items separate and secure would be great, as organic veg are, after all, more expensive than ordinarily produced ones.Also like the fact that there is not massive, massive choice - less is more! and they decide which apples etc. are best in season for that week, which is nice.Will order again because of beautiful flavours, and do hope the packaging/presentation will be rectified - would add so much to the buying experience.

Just back from work

Just back from work, got my box from my neighbours instead of having in my back garden ( I did left instructions for a driver, I am working long hours and I can't trouble my neighbours every time ) Tomatoes are smashed, kiwi all over the box, grapes rotten ..... OMG !! Worst customer service Everrrrr.....nothing explained to a customer, deliver to a wrong address, money received, no sorry no nothing just hang up on me on a phone !!! That's a JOKE !!!PS. "Riverford" is way to better, they have such a good app for ordering and staff is always helpful !!!Now you are just lying about mine swearing))) that's a poor response ))) just nothing better to say))) Feel sorry for you......!!!

I ordered two boxes of fruit and veg

I ordered two boxes of fruit and veg. Overall I was very pleased with the quality and flavour of it. Out of the bulk oranges there were 2 going squishy so not bad odds really, the juice i made from them was really delicious. The lettuces were outstandingly good, as were the courgettes, beets, ginger and turmeric. Grapefruits were very good. You lost a star though for the lemons, they were very large but sadly had very think skins and pith so not much lemon inside plus they were all mostly green, they didn't ripen up either and the few ones i left out the fridge for a couple of days to see if they ripened just went mouldy. The potatoes were a bit gnarly but had a lovely flavour. The garlic was amazing value. The chard was pretty good and the leeks were good but didn't have any green on them at all and I like the green to make soups! I got 20% off for my first order so all in all very good. I would order again.

Perfect condition fruits and vegetables without plastic

Excellent value for money & all organic. We ordered the medium fruit/vegetable box and were delighted by the quantity, freshness and diversity. And NO useless, high polluting, single-use plastic packaging. All fruits and vegetables were in perfect condition nonetheless. It should be this way everywhere. Thank you!

This was a totally frustrating…

This was a totally frustrating experience. I ordered the organic spinach from Langridge farm, which, in the picture of the website, is small in size and looks tender. What I was delivered were some gigantic spinach leaves, with huge stems which were too tough to be eaten. Most of it went to the bin. The picture of the website is misleading; had I known what the real size of that spinach was, I would never have bought it. I also bought fresh coriander. It was so wet that when I opened the packs the day after the delivery, half of it had already changed colour and was rotten.As if all the above was not enough, strangely enough, my credit card was charged twice for the same order (I shopped online). When I contacted the company, they were apologetic but told me it is not their fault, the problem is caused by the card company they use. They reassured me they had done all the appropriate actions to rectify the situation. As I am writing, I am still waiting for my refund to appear in my account.This was my first experience with this company. I will never use them again because they have let me down in all possible ways; therefore they are unreliable.
